Thomas only managed one assist across his last two games and went under this total in four of five games this month—however, he showed clear development as a facilitator in the early parts of the season, including a five-game streak of overs at the end of March. One of those games was against the New York Knicks, who allowed him to rack up six helpers.
The Knicks are 19th in defensive rating and 18th in assists allowed per game over the last 10 games. While the return of AG Anunoby will help shore up their defense, they have still been relatively friendly to opposing guards as of late. Expect Thomas to use his green light to take a lot of shots but also create some assists.
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ once-impenetrable defense ranks just 27th in points allowed per 100 possessions over the last 10 games. They’re also 25th in assists allowed per game during that same timeframe despite mostly being at full health, which is a real cause for concern heading into the postseason.
Although Haliburton is not the same player he was before he suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the season, the Indiana Pacers are playing well on both ends, and Haliburton went over this line in two of five games this month. Keep an eye on him to take advantage of a weakened opponent and to help keep his team’s momentum going.

Whatever happened around the trade deadline changed the trajectory of Russell’s season for the better, and he can now be penciled in for about 20 points per night. The 28-year-old went under in his last two games but also went over in four straight just before that and in 17 of his last 24 games.
The Los Angeles Lakers are overwhelming favorites against an injury-hampered Memphis Grizzlies team. While Memphis plays solid defense, they are extremely inexperienced and will find it difficult to remain competitive with LA. The biggest concern here is that the Lakers blow the Grizzlies out, and D’Lo doesn’t play enough minutes to get over.

The Phoenix Suns are anything but inspiring at the moment. After falling to a Los Angeles Clippers team without Kawhi Leonard or James Harden, they are only 4-6 over their last 10 games and find themselves at risk of having to navigate the Play-In Tournament.
To Phoenix’s credit, they rank sixth in defensive rating over the last 10 games—but at the same time, they are 16th in average assists allowed during that time and have not played great offenses. Sabonis, meanwhile, beat this line in three of four matchups with the Suns and has a great opportunity to dice up their defense again.

Ant-Man logged 25 points against the Denver Nuggets in his last game on Wednesday after scoring 51 the night before. He has not gone under this total in seven of his last 10 games and could be disincentivized from shooting the ball since Karl-Anthony Towns is returning from a knee injury and could take a lot of shots as he looks to regain his rhythm.
The Atlanta Hawks are struggling on defense despite showing promise after Trae Young’s injury, though he is now back in the lineup. Even still, it’s more likely than not that Edwards looks to defer to Towns, not to mention his track record shows he’s a threat to go under no matter who the priority is.
