McBride, a former second-round pick, is getting the full Tom Thibodeau treatment. He played 48 minutes in a non-overtime game in the New York Knicks’ last outing against the Brooklyn Nets and played at least 44 minutes in three straight games. He averaged 22 points during that span and went over in two of three, which puts him on the right path heading into Monday’s game.
The Knicks are taking on the Detroit Pistons, who rank 20th in points allowed per 100 possessions over their last 15 games and don’t start a defensive-minded backcourt with Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey. McBride’s swelling confidence should give him the green light to shoot the ball, and it’s a good idea to check him out while he’s hot.

Wemby only grabbed five rebounds in 21 minutes in his last game, also against the Phoenix Suns, as the San Antonio Spurs were blown off the court. Despite that, he went over in three straight games before and in eight of his last 11 outings, though he is still yet to hit this number against the Suns.
Phoenix has done a great job clearing the glass, ranking second in rebound rate over the last 15 games. Jusuf Nurkic in particular has been a handful, and Wemby will have to overcome his imposing size. We believe that he will as he and his teammates will come out with the motivation of a blowout loss spurring them on.

Irving is unquestionably one of the game’s best scorers, but he’s also been getting his hands dirty as a facilitator recently. He tossed out seven assists in the Dallas Mavericks’ last outing, also against the Utah Jazz, and went over this line in four of his last five outings.
Utah allows the most assists per game over the last 10 games and for the season as a whole, which means they’ve been friendly to opposing teams recently and overall. The Mavs are also one of the league’s highest-scoring and most efficient offenses over the last few weeks, which means that Irving’s teammates should be able to help him hit the over.

Jackson Jr., the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, has taken on a larger offensive responsibility as of late, scoring 25+ points in three straight games and averaging 23.9 in March. However, he’s about to get a tough matchup with the Denver Nuggets that doesn’t bode well for his scoring prospects.
The Nuggets have size and physicality at both the four and five with Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon (not to mention Michael Porter Jr. at the three), whereas many teams are undersized compared to the 6-foot-10 Jackson. Denver also plays at a slow tempo and is great on defense, which should make Jackson’s life even harder.

Similar to McBride, Ellis, who went undrafted in 2022, is making a name for himself. The former Alabama product scored a career-high 19 points in 37 minutes against the Orlando Magic and has an overwhelmingly positive impact on the defensive end, which is valuable to a Sacramento Kings team that needs help guarding the perimeter.
The Kings are 8-1 when Ellis starts, which could put him in contention to be a member of the opening five against the Philadelphia 76ers. With the confidence of a career night helping to drive him forward, we expect the 24-year-old to look for his shot and help deliver on this total.
