Fred VanVleet has proven himself one of the NBA’s best playmakers, helping lead a young and improving Houston Rockets side. On Saturday, he faces a familiar foe when the Rockets visit the Boston Celtics–a team VanVleet has historically struggled against.
This season, Fred VanVleet is averaging 17.6 points, 8.6 assists, and 3.1 threes per game on 40.6% from the field and 39.2% from three-point range. In his last game, a narrow victory over the Detroit Pistons, VanVleet contributed 20 points, 12 assists, and three threes on 46.7% shooting and 33.3% from deep.
VanVleet has hit under 2.5 threes in 12 of his 36 games played this season. He’ll try to maintain his form against a Celtics team that is stellar defensively. He made just four of his 24 three-point attempts against the Celtics last season, and their defense has improved since–expect some struggles from the Rockets guard.

Julius Randle has had an up-and-down season. However, since New York’s major trade, Randle seems to have found his form. He faces a Memphis Grizzlies team severely shorthanded after critical injuries to their players, but Randle will still have to match up with the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.
In 38 games played this season, Julius Randle has averaged 24.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists on 47.4% from the field but just 29.2% from three-point range. In his last game, a loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Randle posted 32 points, six rebounds, and five assists on 52.2% from the floor.
Randle has hit over 31.5 points in seven of his 38 games this season. He had a strong showing against Dallas in his last game, but even this shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies team will present different issues. Expect a solid game, but not one that significantly exceeds his season averages.

While the Golden State Warriors have Stephen Curry, who can drop 30 points with ease, the same could be said of Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard. While Lillard has taken a step back on the offensive end this season as he partners up with Antetokounmpo, he’s proven he can get hot from three at a moment’s notice.
In his 11th professional season, Lillard is averaging 25.0 points, 6.8 assists, and 3.0 threes per game on 43.0% from the field and 35.2% from three-point range. In his last game, a win over the Boston Celtics, Lillard posted 21 points, 4 assists, and 3 made threes on 50.0% shooting from the field.
Having played 35 games so far this season, Lillard has hit over 3.5 threes 14 times. He faces a Warriors team that is more than willing to close out on the arc, but given his team’s expected paint dominance, Lillard should have plenty of opportunities from three-point range.

NBA Player Prop bets focus on individual player performances rather than the match outcome. Bettors place wagers on specific actions, like points scored or rebounds, with bookmakers setting benchmarks. For example, a Damian Lillard prop bet might speculate on whether he'll make more or fewer than 2.5 threes in a game, adding excitement by allowing bettors to concentrate on specific players in the overall game context.
