Given the NBA's jam-packed Wednesday night schedule, we're keeping an eye on some key backcourt performers when the matches kick-off!
Against an impressive Philadelphia 76ers defense, Franz Wagner's playmaking ability will be crucial to the success of the Orlando Magic. Saddiq Bey hopes to be effective on the glass when the Detroit Pistons host the Washington Wizards. And Kyrie Irving hopes to get his teammates involved when the Brooklyn Nets take on the Boston Celtics.
Let's check out the bets!
Franz Wagner looks to continue his stellar sophomore campaign against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. At PointsBet, Wagner is a +130 to clear 3.5 assists when he takes on the Philadelphia 76ers.
On the season, Wagner is averaging 19.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 49.1% from the field and 37.3% from three-point range. Over his last five games, where the Magic have gone 3-2, Wagner has averaged 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists on 48.3% from the field and 38.9% from deep.
Against some tougher defensive units, Wagner has engaged his playmaking more often for the Orlando Magic. He's cleared 3.5 assists in 20 of his 50 appearances this season, and after their win over the Sixers last time out the defense is sure to close on his offensive threat.

Third-year guard Saddiq Bey hasn't had the season he wanted through 48 games, but he's always full of effort when he hits the court. At Caesars Sportsbook, Bey is a +108 to fall short of 4.5 rebounds when he takes on the Washington Wizards.
On the season, Bey is averaging 14.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 40.2% from the field and 34.3% from the three-point range. He's been effective through his last five games though, posting 18 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.0 assists on 41.3% from the field and 40.5% from three-point range.
We expect Bey to fall short of 4.5 rebounds when he faces the Wizards due to Washington's tremendous rebounding ability. They collected 44.4 rebounds per game (8th in the NBA) while holding opponents to 43.6 rebounds per game (14th in the NBA). Bey is definitely a perimeter player who relies on his shooting, but Washington's tenacity on the glass should keep him from clearing 4.5.
Kyrie Irving returns to face his former team and will take on the leading role for the Brooklyn Nets with Kevin Durant unavailable. At DraftKings Sportsbook, Irving is a +105 to clear 6.5 assists when he takes on the Boston Celtics.
On the season, Irving is averaging 27.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds on 48.8% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range. Over his last nine games, all without Kevin Durant in the lineup, Irving has averaged 31.4 points, 7.2 assists, and 5.9 rebounds on 47.8% from the field and 41.7% from three.
Boston are a strong defensive team, and they're sure to try and slow down Kyrie Irving when he takes them on. He's struggled from the field in his last two games against the Celtics, so expect him to involve his teammates more in order to create better looks.
