With just two games on the NBA's Thursday night schedule, fans and bettors can focus on some specific contributors!
When the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Pelicans face off, CJ McCollum's role as option number one with Brandon Ingram out is the focus. For the matchup between the Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz, Lauri Markkanen projects to have a bigger rebounding night than in his recent games.
Let's check out the bets!
With Brandon Ingram out due to injury, CJ McCollum looks to maintain his solid playmaking when for the Pelicans in this game. At DraftKings, McCollum is a -110 to clear 31.5 points and assists combined.
On the season, McCollum is averaging 18.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.8 assists on 41.5% shooting from the field and 35.1% from three-point range. Over the course of their four-game losing streak, McCollum has been averaging 25.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists on 45.9% from the field and 51.9% from three-point range.
McCollum has taken on a bigger role on the scoring end through New Orleans' last four games, and he's produced - regardless of efficiency. On his current trend, McCollum could very well clear 31.5 on points alone. However, with his ability as the lead guard, and with Ingram's usage unavailable, McCollum becomes option number one.

Lauri Markkanen continues his impressive season, with all eyes on his rebounding numbers when he hits the court next. At Caesars Sportsbook, Markkanen is a +100 to clear 7.5 rebounds when he faces off against the Washington Wizards.
On the season, Markkanen is averaging 22.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 53.4% shooting from the field and 43.8% from three-point range. However over the course of the Utah Jazz's last five games, Markkanen has averaged 26.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on 56.6% from the field and 53.7% from three-point range.
To think Markkanen won't clear 7.5, an amount lower than his season average is surprising. In fairness, he hasn't cleared 7.5 rebounds over his last four games, but a Porzingis-less Wizards team should help his case. Considering he's cleared 7.5 rebounds in 18 of his 31 appearances, Markkanen's rebounding numbers should be something to bank on.
