The Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls face off once again with just two games separating the teams in the Eastern Conference standings. Sitting at eighth in the Eastern Conference, the Atlanta Hawks own a 24-23 overall record and an 11-13 road record. The Chicago Bulls are 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 21-24 record and a 12-10 home record.
Despite Atlanta's overall positive run of form, they dropped their last game against the Hornets. The Hawks' second-half defense was dreadful, allowing their opponents to shoot 52.2% from the field and 43.5% from three while being outscored 73 to 53. The Bulls, on the other hand, are coming off of back-to-back wins due to their elite offensive play. Over their last two Chicago are averaging 129.0 points on 52.4% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point range.
Given home-court advantage and their positive run of form, expect the Chicago Bulls to find victory in this matchup. The Hawks are certain to give up their fair share of open shots, and the Bulls' paint dominance is something that they'll struggle to handle. It should be a two-way victory for Chicago.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets both look to find a victory in what is sure to be an up-tempo game. The Timberwolves sit eighth in the Western Conference with a 24-24 overall record and an 8-14 road record. The Rockets are currently last in the West, with a 10-36 record and a 6-15 home record.
The Timberwolves have found back-to-back victories and it has come off the back of their defensive intensity - to everyone's surprise. Minnesota have found victory over their last two games as their defensive pressure has forced 18.5 turnovers on average, helping to mitigate the fact that they've allowed teams to shoot 50.6% from the field and 44.2% from three. The Rockets are on a 13-game losing streak, with their defense allowing 122.9 points per game on 48.3% from the field and 37.1% from three.
Don't stray from the trend and expect the Minnesota Timberwolves to push their win streak to three games in a row. The Houston Rockets are an exciting team, but their lack of defensive ability should push the result in favor of the Timberwolves early.

It should be an exciting affair at the top of the Western Conference when the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings face off. The Memphis Grizzlies are currently second in the West with a 31-15 overall record, but a modest 11-12 record on the road. The Sacramento Kings are just behind them, third in the West with a 26-19 overall record and a 15-10 home record.
The Grizzlies are looking to cut their losing streak off at two games. Memphis struggled offensively in their last game, shooting just 43.5% from the field, 34.4% from three, and having committed 20 turnovers in a 112-110 loss to the Suns. The Kings are coming off of a narrow 129-127 loss to the Sixers in their last game. Sacramento's defense seemed nonexistent, as they allowed their opponents to shoot 52.7% from the field, and 42.9% from three, while also losing the rebounding battle 46 to 29.
It's simply too difficult to put your faith in the Sacramento Kings' defense. Not only are Sacramento inconsistent, but the Grizzlies' pace and strength at the rim should be difficult for them to manage. The Grizzlies should bounce back and find victory.
