Jack Link’s 500 Predictions

23XI Teammates Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace Are Likely to Contend

Both Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick have distinguished themselves on superspeedways.

Reddick is the defending champion of Sunday’s Jack Link’s 500. Wallace won the fall race at the 2.66-mile track in 2021.

Denny Hamlin, who co-owns the 23XI Racing team that fields Toyotas for Wallace and Reddick, took the checkered flag at Talladega in the fall of 2020.

Though the three victories detailed above are the only ones for Toyota drivers since 2014, we think both Reddick and Wallace will be frontrunners on Sunday.

We prefer Wallace to finish in the top three at +600 via bet365 Sportsbook, but we don’t think a +700 top-three wager for Reddick is a bad choice either.

Ryan Blaney Has Been the Recent Leader of the Ford Camp at Talladega

When you’re handicapping a NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, clearly Ryan Blaney has to be near the top of the list.

Blaney has won three of the last 11 races at NASCAR’s largest oval, most recently in the Playoff event during his championship run in 2023.

In the two Talladega races before that win, Blaney finished second. He has led laps in 12 of the last 14 races at the high-speed drafting track.

At +1000 via bet365, we have to give Blaney strong consideration. The only thing that gives us pause is his relatively small percentage of top fives (only six) in his 21 starts.

Yes, Blaney is a strong pick, but we think there’s a better one.

Brad Keselowski Desperately Needs an About-Face at Talladega

Brad Keselowski has been suffering through a miserable season. The co-owner of Roush Fenway Keselowski comes to Talladega 31st in the Cup Series standings.

The 2012 Cup champion hasn’t scored a top 10 this season. In fact, in nine races so far, he has finished better than 26th just three times.

However, we think Talladega will be Keselowski’s saving grace. After all, he has posted six victories at the track, most among active drivers.

Last year, Keselowski finished second in both Talladega races, emphasizing that he still has a knack for the track with the Gen 7 race car introduced in 2022.

Keselowski is co-favorite on Sunday at +1000 via bet365, and we like him to break out of his slump with Ford’s second victory of the season.
