Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250 Predictions

Perennial Bridesmaid Sheldon Creed Looks for Strong Finish at Atlanta

Saturday’s Bennett Transportation & Logistics will mark Sheldon Creed’s 105 start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Creed has never won a race in NASCAR’s Triple-A division, but he has finished second 13 times—a series record for a driver without a victory.

In last Saturday’s season opener at Daytona, Creed failed to add to his total of runner-up finishes, but he did run third behind race winner Jesse Love and teammate Sam Mayer.

In their first season with newly-minted Haas Factory Team, both Creed and Mayer were outstanding in their respective debuts with the new organization.

Though we don’t favor Creed to get a breakthrough win at Atlanta, we think a top-three finish at +350 via bet365 Sportsbook is a solid bet.

Jesse Love Goes for Back-to-Back Victories after Win in Daytona Opener

For a second-year driver at Richard Childress Racing, Jesse Love showed remarkable skill in controlling the front of the field in the late stages of last Saturday’s Xfinity opener at Daytona.

After teammate Austin Hill fell out of the race with mechanical problems, Love seized the opportunity and claimed the second win of his fledgling career.

Love is perhaps even better at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where he won the pole and dominated the race as a rookie last year—only to run out of fuel and finish 12th.

Though we’re tempted to give Love the nod this week, he’s our second choice for the victory at +600 via bet365.

However, we do like Love to beat Aric Almirola head-to-head at -115 via bet365 Sportsbook.

Austin Hill Seeks Comeback Victory after Mechanical Failure at Daytona

Last Saturday at Daytona, Austin Hill was poised to win his fourth straight Xfinity season opener at Daytona International Speedway.

Hill won the first two stages of the race, but his rear-end gear began leaking fluid, and Hill had to retire from the event in 33rd place.

Mechanical issues won’t plague Hill in two straight races. And given that he has won four of the last five races at Atlanta—all since Atlanta began using a superspeedway competition package following a 2021 repave—we can’t pick against Hill two weeks in a row.

We’d like to see better odds than the meager +300 offered at bet365, but that’s a realistic evaluation of Hill’s superiority on superspeedway.
