Friday’s slate may be small, but there are still two YRFIs that are worth a wager as a crop of explosive offenses are set to face off against underwhelming arms. Two of those offenses include the Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres as both units continue to rank near the top of the board in most offensive metrics. We then turn our sights towards the Diamondbacks and Nationals as both units deploy two struggling pitchers. For more information about the YRFI market and what factors make them worth a wager, take a look at our breakdown of what are YRFI bets.
As for where to wager on YRFIs, the FanDuel Sportsbook has been the top choice for the market as they routinely put out lines before everyone else and at very favorable odds when compared to the rest of the mobile sportsbooks. If you have not signed up yet with the FanDuel sportsbook and are looking to wager on Thursday’s slate of YRFIs, you can claim $200 in bonus bets by simply creating an account and winning your first bet of at least $5 wagered. Be sure to wager the $5 on a heavy favorite immediately after signing up, maximizing your chances of winning and collecting the $200 in bonus bets.

After a recent cold stretch, the Padres got themselves back in the win column after skating past the Philadelphia Phillies. They now face off against another well rounded unit when they host the NL Central leader Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday night. Should they want to continue to win and strengthen their position for a wildcard spot, then their offense will need to continue to play at an elite level in order to mask their underwhelming defense.
That’s been the theme for San Diego all season long, using their offense that ranks near the top of the board in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Runs Scored, and On Base Percentage to help cover up their lack of production on defense. Their poor ranks in Team Total Pitching ERA and Defensive Efficiency have made them a popular team to back for our YRFI series, especially when combining it with their top heavy offense who can open up the scoring against the best of them.
With current Total Hits leader Luis Arraez Jr and star talent Fernando Tatis Jr kicking things off, the Padres will have a great opportunity to find themselves in scoring position early against the Brewers rotational pitcher Bryse Wilson. Wilson has struggled in his 17 appearances so far this season, taking the mound against the Padres with an ERA of 3.84, a WHIP of 1.247, 55 Hits Allowed, and 27 Earned Runs Against.
As for the Brewers offense, they have been equally as impressive as the Padres as they also rank near the top of the board in the same previously mentioned offensive metrics. They will be given an equal opportunity to match the Padres offensive production against Adam Mazur as he has underwhelmed in his minimal appearances so far this season. Mazur enters the contest with an ERA of 7.82 and a WHIP of 2.053.

We go back to the well with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Washington Nationals for the third game in a row as they roll out two more underwhelming pitchers. We have split the series 1-1 with our YRFI bets in their series, just missing out on their last contest when the Diamondbacks failed to capitalize on Patrick Corbin’s low level of play.
Arizona’s offense will be given another opportunity to start the scoring early against MacKenzie Gore who has flirted with negative regression. Gore has struggled to keep opposing runners off the bases with a WHIP of 1.320 while possessing just an ERA of 3.24, now having to face off against a Diamondbacks offense that ranks well above league average in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Total Runs Scored, and On Base Percentage.
As for the Nationals, their offense continues to underwhelm by ranking on the opposite side of the board in the same previously mentioned metrics. Luckily for Washington, they will be given a chance to start the scoring early against the Diamondbacks Ryne Nelson who has played as one of the worst starting pitchers in the league. Nelson takes the mound for the Diamondbacks with an ERA of 5.49 and a WHIP of 1.640.
