Monday’s slate of games may be small, but there are plenty of interesting YRFIs as multiple productive offenses are set to face off against underwhelming pitchers. Both the Padres and Phillies have backed their success on their offensive ability and are now in a position to start the scoring early against two struggling arms. We then turn our sights towards the Dodgers and Rockies as both offenses get the benefit of playing at the friendliest hitting park in the league. For more information about the YRFI market and what factors make them worth a wager, take a look at our breakdown of what are YRFI bets.

Monday’s contest against the Padres is a big moment for the Phillies as they welcome back former two time Total Hits leader Trea Turner back into their lineup. Turner has been out with an injury since the start of May, making it six weeks since he last played. The Phillies were also extra cautious with Turner’s return, using their sizable lead in the NL East standings to give him extra time to avoid a potential setback.
While rust may be a factor in his return, Turner is still a net positive for the Phillies offense as he gives them an elite contact hitter at the top of their order. It’s not as if they were struggling without him, as the Phillies have managed to maintain their elite level of play by still ranking well above league average in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Total Runs Scored, and On Base Percentage.
Luckily for Turner and the rest of the Phillies top of their order, they should have no issue with maintaining their high level of play against the Padres Randy Vasquez. Vasquez has mightily struggled in his eight appearances so far this season as opposing batters have had no issue with getting on base against him. Vasquez takes the mound with an ERA of 4.93, a WHIP of 1.513, 51 Hits Allowed, and 21 Earned Runs Against.
As for the Padres, their offense has made an argument for being the best unit in the league since the acquisition of current Total Hits leader Luis Arraez Jr. They will be in a position to match the Phillies offensive production against Cristopher Sanchez who has also struggled with putting runners in scoring position. Sanchez enters the contest with a WHIP of 1.393 and 75 Hits Allowed in 13 games played.

While Monday marks the return for Trea Turner, it also marks the first day the Dodgers will be without Mookie Betts who suffered a hand fracture on Sunday. It was a scary sight to see as Betts instantly hit the ground for a prolonged period of time. While a timetable has yet to be set for his absence, the Dodgers can rest assured that they have plenty of production to mask his loss at the top of the order.
New MVP betting favorite Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman are still a formidable duo as both have played a major role in the Dodgers elite offensive metrics in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Runs Scored, and On Base Percentage. The Dodgers offensive production should not skip a beat against the Rockies Cal Quantrill as he has struggled with avoiding contact. Cal takes the mound with a WHIP of 1.253 and 69 Hits Allowed.
As for the Rockies, their offense has actually been quietly productive as they currently rank above league average in Team Total Hits and near league average in On Base Percentage. They will be given a good opportunity to match the Dodgers elite offensive production as they face off against James Paxton who enters the contest with an ERA of 3.92, a WHIP of 1.408, 52 Hits Allowed, and 26 Earned Runs Against.
