It’s a harsh slate of games for the YRFI market as plenty of top tier arms take the mound. Luckily for us bettors, both the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals top of their batting orders are more than capable of neutralizing the opposing pitching production that they are set to face. We then turn our sights towards the matchup between the Angels and Diamondbacks as two underwhelming pitchers are in a position to continue to struggle. For more information about the YRFI market and what factors make them worth a wager, take a look at our breakdown of what are YRFI bets.
As for where to wager on YRFIs, the FanDuel sportsbook has been the front runner for the market as they consistently put out lines before everyone else and at very favorable odds when compared to the rest of the mobile sportsbooks. If you have not signed up yet with the FanDuel sportsbook, you can claim $200 in bonus bets by simply creating an account and winning your first bet of at least $5 wagered. Be sure to wager the $5 on a heavy favorite immediately after signing up, maximizing your chances of winning and collecting the $200 in bonus bets.

As previously mentioned, Thursday’s slate features plenty of productive pitchers. One of those pitchers is the Yankees Nestor Cortes who actually used to be a routine fade target for our daily YRFI series at the start of the season as he struggled with his command. He has since rounded back into competitive form after some impressive performances, but is still prone to getting rocked early against productive offenses.
He now faces off against the Kansas City Royals who finished last season with just 56 total wins, now sitting in second place in the AL Central standings and only a handful of games back from the Cleveland Guardians. A big reason for their boost in overall production stems from their offense as they currently rank above league average in Team Total Hits, On Base Percentage, RBIs, and Total Runs Scored.
Current MVP contender Bobby Witt Jr has been instrumental in their turnaround, giving the Royals a much needed offensive boost at the top of their order. His production trickles down to his following sluggers as opposing pitchers are forced to pitch against a tighter batters box in an attempt to punch out while Witt is on base. With Cortes prone to being shaky as his ERA of 3.68 and 74 Total Hits Allowed indicates, expect the Royals to get into scoring position early.
As for the Yankees, it should be business as usual for one of the best offenses in the league as they rank near the top of the board across the same previously mentioned offensive metrics. They now get the benefit of teeing off against the Royals Alec Marsh who has struggled so far this season. Marsh takes the mound with an ERA of 4.05, a WHIP of 1.167, 53 Total Hits Allowed, and 27 Earned Runs Against in 11 games played.

After our first YRFI of the day, we cap off our night with one more when the Los Angeles Angels battle it out against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It’s been a season to forget for the Angels since losing their star player Mike Trout to an injury while the Arizona Diamondbacks have had an equally bad start to their year as they are currently in fourth place of the NL West after making it to the World Series.
Should the Diamondbacks want to make it back to the playoffs, then their offense needs to continue to play at a high level as they currently rank above league average in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Runs Scored, and On Base Percentage. They get the chance to do just that as the Angels Griffin Canning has struggled so far this year and takes the mound with an ERA of 4.65 and a WHIP of 1.378.
As for Los Angeles, their offense has steadily trickled down the board across the previously mentioned offensive metrics since losing Mike Trout. Luckily for the Angels, their offense is in a position to ward off the regression against Brand Pfaadt who has been prone to contact. Pfaadt enters the contest with an ERA of 4.60, a WHIP of 1.136, 74 Hits Allowed, and 40 Earned Runs Against.
