After Monday’s small slate, Tuesday brings us a full helping of games to groom through with plenty of YRFIs fitting the mold for a wager. Two night games stick out as a pair of lackluster offenses get the benefit of battling it out against an underwhelming arm while their opposition fields a top tier offense that is poised to start the scoring early. For more information about the YRFI market and what factors make them worth a wager, take a look at our breakdown of what are YRFI bets.
As for where to wager on YRFIs, the FanDuel sportsbook has been the front runner for the market as they consistently put out lines before everyone else and at very favorable odds when compared to the rest of the mobile sportsbooks. If you have not signed up yet with the FanDuel sportsbook, you can claim $200 in bonus bets by simply creating an account and winning your first bet of at least $5 wagered. Be sure to wager the $5 on a heavy favorite immediately after signing up, maximizing your chances of winning and collecting the $200 in bonus bets.

The San Diego Padres have been a consistent team to back for our daily YRFI series as their offense continues to perform as one of the best units in the league. They started the year near the top of the board in Team Total Hits, On Base Percentage, RBIs, and Runs Scored, and have only managed to get even better since trading for the current league leader in Total Hits Luis Arraez Jr from the Miami Marlins.
With Arraez Jr and his elite contact ability at the top of the order, the Padres have found themselves in favorable scoring positions early in their contests with his high chance of making it on base. His presence creates a positive trickle down effect for the following batters as opposing pitchers tighten up and get more aggressive with their throws across the plate in an attempt to punch out in order to avoid advancing him to second.
That normally spells danger as the ensuing batter after Luis Arraez Jr is all around talent Fernando Tatis Jr who possesses an elite blend of power and contact ability. Both players are now in a position to start the scoring early against the Athletics JP Sears who is a modest starting pitcher at best. Sears takes the mound for the A’s with an ERA of 3.93, a WHIP of 1.091, 59 Hits Allowed, and 32 Earned Runs Against in 13 games played.
While the Padres offense find themselves near the top of the board in the previously mentioned offensive metrics, the Athletics have been near the bottom as they have severely underwhelmed at this point of the season. Luckily for them, they will be given an opportunity to match the Padres scoring pace as San Diego trots out Randy Vasquez who has mightily struggled in his seven starts so far this year. Vasquez enters the contest with an ERA of 5.40 and WHIP of 1.674.

It’s been a disappointing start to the season for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they are currently in fourth place in the NL West standings while battling for a wildcard spot to make the playoffs. A big reason for their early season struggles stem from their defense as they rank bottom six in the league in both Team Total ERA and Defensive Efficiency.
Their starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery has done them no favors in that regard as he takes the mound with an ERA of 6.80, a WHIP of 1.727, just 29 Total Strikeouts, 62 Hits Allowed, and 35 Earned Runs Against in 9 games played. Luckily for the sake of the YRFI, that means the below average Angels offense will be in a position to find success early as they have struggled since the injury to star slugger Mike Trout.
As for the Diamondbacks offense, they have been the lone source of success for Arizona as they currently rank well above league average in Team Total Hits, On Base Percentage, RBIs, and Runs Scored. They field a powerful top of the order with former NL Rookie of the Year winner Corbin Carroll kicking things off. Suarez has struggled to keep opposing runners off the bases as his WHIP of 1.470 indicates, now being prone to being scored against should Carroll get on base with his blistering fast speed.
