Tuesday’s slate was a roller coaster of emotions, cashing another Tigers and Guardians YRFI with the first batter of the game but got burned in the second game with a dual pitcher change. Moving onto Wednesday, we now back a pair of elite offenses with the Astros and Yankees set to battle it out, while the Reds offense looks to bounce back toward the mean against the Arizona Diamondbacks. For more information about the YRFI market and what factors make them worth a wager, take a look at our breakdown of what are YRFI bets.

It’s been a nightmare start for the World Series contending Houston Astros, starting their 2024 with a 12-22 record and tied for dead last in the AL West standings. A big reason for their sluggish start can be pointed towards their defense, mainly their pitching as they rank near dead last in Team Total ERA and well below average in Total Hits Allowed, and Earned Runs Allowed.
While their defense has been awful, the Astros offense has not skipped a beat and continues to be one of the better units in the league. Led off by Jose Altuve, Kyle Tucker, Yordan Alvarez, and Alex Bregman, a serious case can be made that the Astros field the second most dangerous top-of-the-order in the league right behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Astros offense as a whole comes into the contest ranked top-6 in Team Total Hits and On Base Percentage and now get to face off against the Yankees' Carlos Rodon who has had a respectable start to the season. Rodon enters the matchup with an ERA of 3.68, a WHIP of 1.282, 36 Strikeouts, 14 Batters Walked, 33 Hits Allowed, and 15 Earned Runs against in seven games played.
Speaking of the Astros' pitching woes, they trot out Spencer Arrighetti who exemplifies their struggles as he has severely underwhelmed so far this season. In just four games played, Arrighetti has an ERA of 8.27, a WHIP of 1.959, 21 Strikeouts, 22 Hits Allowed, and 15 Earned Runs Against.
His astronomically high WHIP is more than favorable to fade against, especially since he faces off against the Yankees top of their order that features the duo of Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. Already averaging nearly two batters on base per inning, Judge may find himself with a man in scoring position while being one single away from cashing this YRFI with elite contact hitter Soto teeing off right before him.

Shortly before our previously mentioned YRFI gets underway, we focus in on the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cincinnati Reds as this may be a get right spot for the Reds' offense. The Reds were supposed to take a step forward with their offensive production as one of the top units in the league, but so far their star-powered young talent ranks dead last in Team Total Hits and below average in On Base Percentage.
Luckily for them, they get the opportunity to get right against the Diamondbacks Jordan Montgomery who has struggled mightily in his 2024 campaign. Montgomery comes into the contest with an ERA of 5.63, a WHIP of 1.313, just eight total Strikeouts, already 17 Hits Allowed, and 10 Earned Runs against in three games played.
As for the Diamondbacks, their offense has been as good as it gets as they rank top-10 in Team Total Hits, On Base Percentage, and RBIs. The top of their batting order brings an elite blend of contact ability and power and now gets to go against the Reds' Graham Ashcraft who has struggled with keeping opposing batters off the bases. Ashcraft comes into the contest with an ERA of 3.63 and a WHIP of 1.269.
