After missing out on the Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals YRFI by one inning, we go back to the well as both teams trot out two more underwhelming pitchers for us to fade. Before that game kicks off, the Boston Red Sox look to find success against former Cy Young contender Pablo Lopez who has seen his pitching production steadily decline. For more information about the YRFI market and what factors make them worth a wager, take a look at our breakdown of what are YRFI bets.
As for where to wager on YRFIs, the FanDuel sportsbook has been the pioneer for the market as they routinely put out lines before everyone else and at very favorable odds when compared to the rest of the mobile sportsbook apps. If you have not signed up yet with the FanDuel sportsbooks and are looking to get in on the action, you can claim $150 in bonus bets for simply signing up and winning your first bet of at least $5 wagered. Be sure to wager the $5 on a heavy favorite immediately after making a deposit, maximizing your chances of winning the bet and claiming the $150 in bonus bets.

After just missing out on the YRFI in their previous matchup, we go back to the well as the Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals trot out two regressing pitchers in the second game of their series. One of those pitchers include former Cy Young contender Kevin Gausman who found his name near the top of the board in the Cy Young market as a preseason favorite.
He has since steadily crashed down the board due to an underwhelming start to the season with no end in sight as he may also be dealing with a nagging injury that has hampered his throwing ability. Gausman was held out for a majority of spring training with a strain in his throwing shoulder and has yet to look like his former self since he made his return in their final preseason game.
It’s still apparent that something is still ailing him as Gausman currently possesses an ERA of 4.50, a WHIP of 1.357, 23 Strikeouts, 32 Hits Allowed, six Batters Walked, and 14 Earned Runs Against in six games played. At his current pace, his current ERA and WHIP would be career lows since his stint with the Atlanta Braves back in 2019 and well below his career averages as a whole.
As for the Nationals, they trot out Jake Irvin who has been nearly as equally as underwhelming as he currently has an ERA of 4.28, a WHIP of 1.188, 33 Hits Allowed, and 16 Earned Runs Against. His supporting cast of defenders rank dead last in Defensive Efficiency and now has to go against a top-heavy Blue Jays batting order that features George Springer, Bo Bichette, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Before the rematch between the Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals, the Boston Red Sox look to get up off the mat against the Minnesota Twins who also trot out a former Cy Young contender. Pablo Lopez was once nearing the likes of Tarik Skubal and Corbin Burnes at the top of the board for the AL Cy Young award but is now currently a distant fourth place as the market shapes up to be a two-horse race.
While there is still plenty of time for Lopez to turn it around and start clawing his way back up the board, he will need to start stringing together more quality outings as his current numbers come nowhere near rivaling the likes of Skubal and Burnes. Lopez currently possesses an ERA of 4.83, a WHIP of 1.042, 26 Hits Allowed, seven Batters Walked, and 17 Earned Runs Against in six games played.
As for the Red Sox, they go deep into their rotation and roll out Chase Anderson who is making his eighth appearance this season. In seven games played and 14.2 innings pitched, Anderson has an ERA of 5.52, a WHIP of 1.159. His average of one runner on base per inning will be tested against a Twins offense that is due for some positive regression in the hitting department as they rank well below average in Total Hits and near the top-10 in On-Base-Percentage.
