On Wednesday, the Toronto Blue Jays will play game three of a four-game set against the Guardians. Cleveland has been making a lot of noise lately, thanks to Jose Ramirez, who knocked out Tim Anderson last weekend in a fight at second base. Ramirez three-game suspension plays into this game’s NRFI bet because he will not be in the lineup.

There aren’t many hitters for the Guardians to be concerned about for this NRFI wager. Cleveland is a team that wins with pitching and timely hitting. They’re one of the least powerful offenses in baseball, and we like Kevin Gausman to shut them down tonight. Gausman has pitched well as of late.

He is 8-6 with a 3.20 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. Over 132 innings, he has allowed just 120 hits and wracked up 177 strikeouts. He has been phenomenal in getting out of jams, and we will see this once again tonight.

The tough part about this NRFI will happen right from the first pitch. The Blue Jays' offense was on fire until their 1-0 loss in Game two of this series. They scored 25 runs in three games against the Red Sox over the weekend. Nevertheless, Logan Allen will be on the bump for Cleveland, and he has been reputable this year for his team.

Allen has a 3.65 ERA with a 1.37 WHIP in 86.1 innings. The issue for Allen has been his walks, as he has 32 over this span. Allen can lock it down for the game's first three outs and help win this NRFI bet.

Kansas City Royals vs Boston Red Sox - Jordan Lyles (RHP) vs Nick Pivetta (RHP)

Over 0.5 Runs (-120 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

There have been a lot of runs scored in the Red Sox vs Royals series thus far. The scoreboard was lit up on Tuesday by Kansas City, as the team scored nine runs, embarrassing Boston in every facet of the game.

The YRFI in this matchup on FanDuel Sportsbook is plus money and for good reason. The pitching isn’t great, and both offenses have a lot of pop. Jordan Lyles should have the best chance of giving up a run in the first inning, as he has been horrendous this season.

Lyles is 3-12 with a 6.24 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP. He has walked 34 batters and allowed 23 homers in 118.1 innings. Lyles is bad, and there is no other way to say it after his performances this season. The Red Sox offense has been inconsistent, but they have some big bats at the top of the order who can do damage at any point.

Nick Pivetta will pitch for Boston, and he is 7-6 with a 4.19 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. He has been good when on the mound, but his past appearance wasn’t quality. He gave up six hits and three earned runs in four innings to the Blue Jays. This is the Pivetta we need to see tonight for the NRFI bet.

With two inconsistent pitchers and two potent offenses, we will play the YRFI in this game.

Chicago Cubs vs New York Mets - Kyle Hendricks (RHP) vs David Peterson (LHP)

Over 0.5 Runs (-120 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Chicago Cubs have been one of the hottest offenses in the game as of late, and we see their success continuing off of David Peterson. Peterson has struggled this season with a 3-7 record, a 5.65 ERA, and a 1.61 WHIP. Over 65.1 innings of work, he has allowed 77 hits with 25 walks.

The Cubs are batting .257 as a team with a .334 OBP. New York isn’t as good offensively, but they’ll face Kyle Hendricks, who has seemed to fall off a cliff in the second half. In his last start against the Braves, Hendricks went four innings and allowed seven earned runs on eight hits. This included two homers.

Hendricks doesn’t throw very hard, so if he doesn’t keep the ball down in the zone, he can get into trouble. The Mets have sold their entire team but still have power hitters. Take the YRFI for -120 in this spot.
