After 12 teams entered the MLB playoffs, only 2 remain with the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers set to battle it out in the World Series. A well deserved finale as both clubs spent a majority of the regular season listed as the betting favorites to win the championship. With two productive pitchers set to take the mound for game one, expect a lack of scoring production early on in the contest.

When looking to make a wager on a NRFI, it’s vital to have as many sportsbooks as you can get in order to line shop the volatile market. Each sportsbook also has their own unique signup bonus, giving new users a head start to their bankroll to wager with during the MLB playoffs.
FanDuel Sportsbook, for example, is giving new users $300 in bonus bets after creating an account and winning their first bet of at least $5. Be sure to wager the $5 on a heavy favorite or alt line immediately after signing up, maximizing your chances of winning and collecting the $300 in bonus bets.
While the Los Angeles Dodgers offense hogs a majority of the spotlight as their lineup is chalk full of star caliber players, their defense has gone under the radar as they currently rank second overall in Defensive Efficiency. An impressive feat while having to deal with injuries to their pitching staff all season long as the Dodgers defense also enters game one of the World Series ranked 13th overall in Team Total Pitching ERA.
In an attempt to bolster their pitching production, the Dodgers made a trade for the Detroit Tigers Jack Flaherty to help give them another starting worthy arm. Since joining the Dodgers, Flaherty has continued to limit the total number of opposing runners on base by averaging less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched while generating an ERA of 3.17, a WHIP of 1.068, and a FIP of 3.48.
Every bit of Flaherty’s production will be needed early on in the contest as the Yankees field arguably one of the most dangerous top of the orders in the league with the star duo of Juan Soto and potential AL MVP Aaron Judge kicking things off. Their elite blend of power and contact ability have terrorized opposing pitchers all season long, as well as directly contributing to the Yankees above league average marks in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Total Runs Scored, and On Base Percentage.
Speaking of elite top of the orders, the Los Angeles Dodgers rival the Yankees in terms of star power by starting their contests with Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts. To help neutralize the Dodgers offensive production, the Yankees roll out former Cy Young award winner Gerrit Cole who has recently shown flashes of his former dominant self after a slow start to the season. Heading into game one, Cole enters the contest with a WHIP of 1.126 and FIP of 3.69.
