So far, throughout the MLB postseason, many runs have been scored. We are not seeing typical playoff baseball, as we have in the past, with the starting pitchers dominating the offenses.
Look for this to flip on Thursday. We see both games staying under the total and the NRFI cashing.
Each team has its star pitchers on the mound, and as the series develops, pitchers' leashes become shorter.
We are taking both of these wagers on bet365 Sportsbook, one of the best sportsbooks for MLB betting. As a special offer, bet365 gives new users a $1,000 safety net bet or $200 in bonus bets. Claim this exclusive deal by applying our promo code WSN365 when signing up for bet365 account.
This first game features the Yankees and Guardians in Game 3 of the ALCS. New York has been dominating this series so far, winning the AL East in 2024.
The Guardians won the AL Central, going 92-69, but now find themselves trailing in this series with their backs against the wall.
The Yankees are going with Clarke Schmidt, who has a 3.86 ERA this postseason. In his lone start, he went 4.2 innings while striking out four batters. Schmidt fanned 93 batters in 85.1 innings in the regular season, and we expect him to shut down the Cleveland offense in this matchup.
Matthew Boyd gets the start for the Guardians, who was 2-2 with a 2.72 ERA in 2024. He struck out 46 batters in 39.2 innings with a WHIP of 1.13.
Boyd has a walk issue, but in a big-time postseason game that the Guardians need, we think he locks in and minimizes runs on the scoreboard.
The first two games of this series saw 16 runs scored, and eventually, we think the pitching will take over and dominate. This trend starts with both pitchers having a clean first inning and cashing the NRFI.

The next NRFI we are taking is the Dodgers vs. Mets game. This series has been very intriguing and will be a must-watch going forward.
Los Angeles captured the NL West as one of the best teams in baseball in the regular season. New York finished second in the NL East and has been a surprise late in the season.
The Mets had a terrible first half of the season, but since the All-Star break, they have been clicking on all cylinders. The Dodgers were expected to be in this spot due to a loaded roster and an offense that can hit up and down the lineup.
The biggest factor for New York will be the starting pitching production and how well they can shut down the Dodgers.
Los Angeles is starting Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who is 1-0 with a 5.63 ERA this postseason. He has a great pitch arsenal and does a great job of keeping hitters off balance. Throughout the regular season, Yamamoto struck out 105 batters in 90 innings while posting a WHIP of 1.11.
Jose Quintana will get the ball for the Mets. He has tossed 11 innings this postseason and has an ERA of 0.00.
Quintana has stepped up and been a big-time arm for this team, and we expect that trend to continue in this matchup. Quintana is unafraid of this Dodgers superpower lineup, and we believe he will go deep into this game.
Expect this to be a fantastic game highlighted by great pitching, which is why we are taking the NRFI in both matchups.
