The second NRFI we are taking features a pair of NL West clubs that had great seasons in 2024. Los Angeles won this division, going 98-64, with San Diego right behind them in the standings. 

The Padres were 93-69 in the regular season and have a lot of momentum after a big win in NLDS Game 2.

Both offenses rank in the top four in team batting average, with San Diego being number one, hitting .263. Los Angeles is hitting .257, but pitchers usually make fewer mistakes in the playoffs, so each group can be tamed. 

It can be difficult to contain players like Shohei Ohtani, Fernando Tatis, and others in this series, but both starters are prepared for this moment, and we expect them to dominate. 

Look for Buehler and King to utilize their overpowering fastball to get ahead in the count and mix in their secondary pitches to confuse the offenses at the plate on Tuesday.
