Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 07 02 Yankees Juan Soto

Saturday brings us a great slate of games, but two NRFI bets stand out. The first comes from a game between AL East rivals as the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles face off. After that, we head to the AL West as the Seattle Mariners take on Los Angeles Angels.

We will share why we are locking in these NRFI bets below, as well as share odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. If you want to sign up with FanDuel to win, be sure to use our custom link to earn $200 in Bonus Bets

Best NRFI Bets Today: Yankees vs. Orioles (4:05 PM EST)

Under 0.5 Runs (-115 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

While both lineups feature some big bats, they haven’t seen the ball yet. Injuries and cold streaks have kept the Yankees' bats quiet, and the Orioles scored 2 runs in their three-game series against the Cubs this week. While neither cold snap will last for the remainder of the season, we expect them to stay frosty this afternoon.

Luis Gil (9-5, 3.27 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) will be getting the start for the Yankees today. The 26-year-old had a rough June but has allowed a first running run twice since May 15. Gil bounced back in his last start and allowed just one run (not in the first innings) over 6 ⅔ innings against a dangerous Red Sox team.

The Orioles hit Gil hard last month as the young pitcher went through a rough slump. However, he threw 6 ⅓ scoreless innings against them back in May. With the righty returning to his top form, we expect another dazzling outing against a Baltimore lineup struggling to generate runs.

Baltimore will have Grayson Rodriguez (11-3, 3.52 ERA, 1.21 WHIP) starting opposite Gil this afternoon. The 24-year-old is one of the most exciting young starters in the league, and he has shown that in 2024. He has been improving as the season goes on, allowing more than three runs in a start once since June 1.

When they faced him late in April, the Yankees had no answers for Rodriguez. He threw 5 ⅔ shutout innings against the Bronx Bombers. We like his chances to repeat that today against a Yankee team that is not hitting as well as they were back in April.

Best NRFI Bets Today: Mariners vs. Angels (9:38 PM EST)

Under 0.5 Runs (-130 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Two bad offenses plus two talented pitchers equal an easy NRFI cover. That is our situation tonight, as the Mariners and Angels both rank in the bottom nine of the league in batting average. Their poor hitting has made them two of the best NRFI bets in the league, with those bets covering 71.74% of Mariners games and 77.42% of Angels games.

The Mariners will have one of their top arms on the mound tonight in George Kirby (7-6, 3.39 ERA, 1.00 WHIP). Opposing batters are hitting for a lowly .216 batting average the first time they see him, leading to a lot of quiet first innings. Kirby hasn’t allowed a first-inning run since May 19.

Jose Soriano (4-7, 3.87 ERA, 1.18 WHIP) has shown how good he can be, though consistency has been an issue for him. We like him tonight primarily because of the poor play of the Mariners’ lineup. They are dead last in batting average, and twenty-sixth in runs scored.

While Julio Rodriguez is heating up after a brutal start to the season, he has only driven in three RBIs. The lack of production from the rest of the lineup contains J-Rod’s ability to generate runs, which is why we feel safe taking this NRFI bet tonight.
