Best NRFI Bets Today 2024 06 13 Phillies Aaron Nola

For Thursday’s MLB slate, there is a ton of value in betting the NRFI in a couple of these matchups. The NRFI is the most electric wager in all of sports and we have two on Thursday.

The first NRFI we’re taking is in the Braves and Orioles game. This matchup features two starting pitchers who are capable of cashing this wager.

The second NRFI we’re taking is highlighted by Aaron Nola and the Phillies going up against Tanner Houck and the Red Sox.

Best NRFI Bets Today: Braves vs. Orioles (1:05 PM, EST)

1st Inning Under 0.5 Runs (-110) at FanDuel

The Braves take on the Orioles for the first game of the day. Atlanta is 35-29 in second place in the NL East. Baltimore is 44-22 in second place trailing the Yankees by 2.5 games in the AL East

The Braves are starting Reynaldo Lopez who is 3-2 with a 1.85 ERA. He has struck out 62 batters in 63.1 innings. In his last three starts he has gone 16.2 innings allowing only five earned runs and four walks.

The Orioles are going with Cole Irvin who is 6-2 with a 2.87 ERA. He has 43 strikeouts in 62.2 innings. In Irvin’s last three starts he has gone 17 innings allowing just four earned runs.

With these high-powered offenses, we would usually not take a NRFI in a game like this, but both starting pitchers have been dominant in 2024.

Both teams started young pitchers in yesterday’s contest, but are going with more experienced arms today.

We expect Lopez and Irvin to go deep into this game and shut down the offenses. Look for both pitchers to have a great first inning allowing no runs to cash our NRFI wager.

Best NRFI Bets Today: Phillies vs. Red Sox (7:10 PM, EST)

1st Inning Under 0.5 Runs (-115) at FanDuel

The first place Phillies take on the Red Sox in Boston. Philadelphia is 46-20 leading the Braves by ten games in the NL East. The Red Sox are 33-34 in third place in the AL East

The Phillies are starting Aaron Nola who is 8-2 with a 2.77 ERA. He has struck out 76 batters in 84.1 innings.

Nola has a WHIP of 0.97 and is coming off a seven inning performance allowing just two hits and no runs against Milwaukee. He has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, and we do not see him slowing down anytime soon.

Boston is going with Tanner Houck who is 6-5 with a 1.91 ERA. He has struck out 84 batters in 85 innings. In Houck’s last three starts he has gone 20 innings allowing four earned runs with just three walks.

Houck has been dominant in his last three starts and his strikeout numbers have increased. He has fanned 22 batters the last three games and is not walking anyone.

We have two starting pitchers that are capable of going deep into this game and keep runs to a minimum.

Philadelphia ranks 6th in team batting average hitting .254 in 2024. Although they have a loaded lineup and have been very successful, we expect Houck to deal in this game and get the job done.

Boston ranks 10th in team batting average hitting .245. Nola is the type of pitcher that can strike out the side and have an easy first inning.
