The NRFI is one of the most popular bets in all of sports. There is some good value for a couple of these wagers on Tuesday in MLB.
The first NRFI we’re looking at is in the Chicago vs. Milwaukee game. Expect this divisional matchup to be low-scoring.
The second NRFI we’re going with is in the Washington vs. Atlanta game.

Chicago and Milwaukee face off in a key divisional matchup in the NL Central. The Cubs are 27-26 in second place trailing Milwaukee by 3.5 games. The Brewers are 30-22 and have been leading the NL Central for almost the entire season.
This division is starting to get hot as St. Louis has won eight of their last 10 games and Pittsburgh is right behind them at 25-29. We believe the winner of the NL Central will come down to the last week of the season.
The Cubs are starting Ben Brown who is 1-1 with a 3.20 ERA. He has struck out 45 batters in 39.1 innings. In Brown’s last eight innings, he has only given up one earned run on six hits.
Milwaukee is starting Freddy Peralta who is 3-3 with a 3.81 ERA in 2024. His strikeout percentage has gone way up as he has struck out 71 batters in 56.2 innings.
Chicago has been led by Christopher Morel who has nine home runs and 33 RBI’s. Mike Tauchman has also had a solid season hitting .267, leading the team in this category.
William Contreras has been red-hot for Milwaukee leading the team with a .332 batting average and eight home runs. Yet, we expect these bats to be quiet early in the game.
This series should see limited runs because of the strikeout ability of the starting pitchers. In games like this, it’s a great idea to take the NRFI. Look for both of these pitchers to have a clean opening, cashing our wager.

Washington and Atlanta face off on Tuesday night. The Nationals are 23-28 trailing the Phillies by 13.5 games in the NL East. The Braves are in second place in the division at 30-20. Philadelphia has been the early frontrunner, and are now favored to win the division with their 38-16.
The Nationals are starting Jake Irvin who is 2-5 with a 3.79 ERA. He has struck out 44 batters in 57 innings along with a 1.07 WHIP. In Irvin’s last start, he went 6.1 innings and gave up two earned runs off five hits.
The Braves are starting Max Fried, who owns a 4-2 record with a 3.38 ERA. He has struck out 48 batters in 58.2 innings. Fried is coming off his best start in 2024 as he threw a complete game while only allowing one run off three hits.
Luis Garcia and CJ Abrams have led the Nationals as they are both seeing the ball well at the plate.
It’s been an excellent start to the season, but they just lost star player Ronald Acuna for the year due to a torn ACL. He is a tough bat at the top of the lineup, and his absence is helping us validate this NRFI.
In Monday’s game, Washington scored four runs in the first inning, but we believe this contest will yield a different result. Look for both of these pitchers to shut down the bats early and attain a simple six outs.
