The NRFI in the Red Sox vs. Orioles game is bound to shift before the game. The -128 price is fair, considering two elite pitchers are on the mound. 

Former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes will take the ball for the Orioles and he has been tremendous all season. Burnes was beginning to struggle in the National League, pitching for the Brewers. 

It seemed like National League hitters were beginning to figure out the ace, but this isn’t the case for batters in the American League. Burnes is 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP. 

He has struck out 14 batters in 11.2 innings of work, so he has been delivering for his team. He will pitch against Brayan Bello, who is the future ace of the Red Sox organization. 

Bello has a 5.4 ERA because he has a home run issue, but his WHIP is just 1.10. Look for Bello to have a solid start to the season at home.

Best NRFI Bets Today: Phillies vs. Cardinals (7:45 PM, EST)

The lowest total of the Monday slate is a straight seven in the Phillies vs. Cardinals game. The total is so low because of the excellent starting pitching. 

Zack Wheeler will pitch for the Phillies, and he has been fantastic. Wheeler has a 0.75 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP. He has fanned 15 batters in 12 innings and hasn’t allowed a home run. 

Wheeler makes his opponents earn everything, which is perfect for NRFI betting. The quickest way to kill a NRFI is a home run, and while both teams have firepower, the pitchers can contain the bats. 

Sonny Gray, one of the top finishers in the 2023 Cy Young race, will pitch for the Cardinals. He had a 2.79 ERA, which was third in baseball for the Twins one year ago. Look for him to build on his success and have another great season in 2024.

Best NRFI Bets Today: Mariners vs. Blue Jays (7:08 PM, EST)

1st Inning Under 0.5 Runs (-138) at FanDuel

The final NRFI on our Monday card is in the Mariners vs. Blue Jays game. Both pitchers haven’t performed as expected through their first two starts. 

The ERA’s are inflated for George Kirby and Chris Bassitt. However, we still trust the spot for the NRFI in this contest. Neither offense has come alive, which could jumpstart the pitchers. 

Seattle is batting .213, and Toronto is batting .193 on the season. Kirby and Bassitt currently don’t have much control over their pitching, but they should still maneuver their opponents smoothly. 

There are potent hitters on both sides of the dugout, but only some players have found a way to generate a lot of offense. This should continue on Tuesday.
