Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Twins vs. Royals (2:10 PM, EST)

Carlos Correa Over 0.5 Strikeouts (-145) at bet365 Sportsbook

Correa appears to be turning things around after a disastrous start to his season. He’s gone 3 for 7 over the past two days, with all three of his hits going for extra bases. But it’s still too soon to know for sure that he’s out of the woods. Correa has also been vulnerable to the strikeout lately, totaling six in his last eight games. In fact, he’s struck out at least once in four of his last six games.

The kicker is that Correa has dreadful numbers against Kansas City starter Michael Wacha. In 13 career at-bats against Wacha, he has one hit and five strikeouts. That poor track record and his awful start are enough to fade him on Thursday.

Bobby Witt Jr. Over 1.5 Runs/Hits/RBI (-140) at bet365 Sportsbook

Witt isn’t off to the best start of his career, although he continues to be a spark plug at the top of the Kansas City lineup. He’s getting on base and scoring runs while also being a threat to collect an RBI, which is why this is the ideal type of prop bet for him. Witt has gone over 1.5 runs/hits/RBI in four of his last six games, coinciding with the Royals winning four of their last six games. He will also be pleased to be facing Minnesota’s Bailey Ober on Thursday.

In his career, Witt is 9 for 19 (.474) with three extra-base hits and five RBI against Ober. That means he’s set up for another productive game, which should make this a safe bet.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Blue Jays vs. Red Sox (4:10 PM, EST)

Chris Bassitt Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-145) at bet365 Sportsbook

Bassitt has been a strikeout artist in his first two starts of the season. He’s fanned 16 batters over 12.2 innings, reaching at least seven strikeouts in each of his first two starts. There’s no reason to doubt that he can reach at least half a dozen against the Red Sox on Thursday. Boston has the most total strikeouts in baseball right now and is averaging close to 10 per game. While Bassitt doesn’t have the best numbers against several key Red Sox hitters, Boston’s propensity for strikeouts plays right into his hands.

Plus, Bassitt has lasted at least six innings in each of his starts. All he has to do is match that while averaging one strikeout per inning, and he’ll hit this target.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Phillies vs. Braves (7:15 PM, EST)

Ozzie Albies Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105) at bet365 Sportsbook

Admittedly, this bet is going against the grain a little bit because Albies is off to a slow start. But with plus odds and a good track record, it’s a worthwhile bet. Albies is just 1 for 12 this season against lefties, which may not bode well against Philly’s Jesus Luzardo. But that start is an outlier because Albies has crushed lefties throughout his career. In fact, he’s a player we typically like to target whenever Atlanta is facing a southpaw. Against Luzardo, specifically, Albies is 4 for 13 (.308) with three doubles.

This is a favorable matchup for him and a good opportunity to get going.

Bryce Harper Over 0.5 Walks (+115) at bet365 Sportsbook

Harper is getting his hits this season, but he’s also drawing plenty of walks. His patience has been impressive, especially over the last week. Harper has drawn at least one walk in five straight games, including two walks in Wednesday’s win over the Braves. Alec Bohm, who hits behind Harper, is batting under .200 at the moment, so there is no reason for pitchers to challenge him.

With Harper being 3 for 6 in his career against Spencer Schwellenbach, who starts for the Braves on Thursday, it’s likely the Braves will continue to pitch around him, making it easy for Harper to draw another walk.
