As usual, Thursday is a challenging day for MLB prop bets. There are just five games on the schedule, so we had limited options for our prop picks. In a way, that made it easier to hone in on the players we should be targeting. For whatever reason, we ended up fading most of our prop picks, which will hopefully lead to good things for our Thursday picks.
The odds for Thursday’s props are from bet365 Sportsbook. At bet365, you can expect to find a great variety of prop bets and good odds. Plus, new customers will get a choice between receiving $150 in bonus bets for making a $5 wager and having a safety net of up to $1,000 on their first wager.

Despite just one extra-base hit this season, Castellanos is off to a promising start, with at least one hit in four of his five games. More importantly, he’s getting a favorable matchup on Thursday against lefty Antonio Senzatela. Colorado’s starting pitcher might be someone worth fading, as he’s had issues with several members of the Phillies in the past.
Castellanos, in particular, has crushed him, going 4 for 7 with a pair of extra-base hits. While that sample size is small, it’s enough to believe that Castellanos is set up for a big game.

Kelly hit the ground running this season, allowing just one run on three hits over 5.1 innings in his first start. His strong track record against several members of the Yankees indicates that he can deliver a similar performance on Thursday. Plus, the Yankees have seen their bats cool off over the first two games of this series, totaling just 11 hits in a pair of losses.
Kelly should be able to keep them off balance, holding the Yankees to another low hit total.
Goldschmidt was crushing the ball last weekend but has suddenly cooled off against his former team. He’s 0 for 8 with three strikeouts over the past two games against the Diamondbacks. Things won’t get any easier for the veteran first baseman on Thursday because he’s just 2 for 12 (.167) in his career against Kelly.
There is some value in betting on Goldschmidt to go hitless for a third straight game. However, we’ll take the conservative route with this bet and take under 1.5 total bases just in case Goldschmidt lucks his way into a hit before this series ends.

The early part of the season has been a nightmare for Yelich. The former MVP is just 2 for 17 (.118) despite one of those hits being a home run. He wasn’t even in the starting lineup on Wednesday after going hitless in three of his first five games of the season.
The Brewers probably won’t keep him out of the lineup for a second straight game, which means a tough matchup against lefty Nick Lodolo. In a small sample, Yelich is just 1 for 8 (.125) with two strikeouts in his career against Cincinnati’s starter. Given all of that, we’ll bank on Yelich continuing to struggle and going hitless yet again.
Speaking of Lodolo, he’s our final target for Thursday’s prop bets. The southpaw managed just one strikeout over six innings in his first start of the season against the Giants last week. Keep in mind that San Francisco is averaging over 10 strikeouts per game, so to get one across six innings says a lot about Lodolo’s inability to miss bats. Granted, the Brewers are also averaging over 10 strikeouts per game.
But Lodolo had just four strikeouts in his only start against Milwaukee last season. Also, it’d be surprising to see such a huge jump in his strikeout total, so we feel confident the lefty will finish the game with five strikeouts or fewer.
