Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 10 29

Today could be the last day of the 2024 MLB season. If the first three games of the World Series are any indication, the Dodgers are poised to complete their sweep of the Yankees on Tuesday night. If that’s the case, let’s try to go out on a high with our prop bets.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Dodgers vs. Yankees (8:08 PM, EST)

Luis Gil Over 2.5 Walks (+145) at bet365

If there’s one thing the Dodgers have done well all postseason, it’s draw walks. In Game 3, Clarke Schmidt lasted just 2.2 innings but still managed to walk four batters. Gil figures to have similar problems against a patient and unrelenting Los Angeles lineup. Keep in mind Gil walked three batters in just four innings of work during his only ALCS start. In fact, he’s allowed three walks in three of his last four starts. Unless the Dodgers knock him out in the first or second inning, he’s likely to concede a few walks in Game 4.

Teoscar Hernandez Over 1.5 Hits/Runs/RBI (-115) at bet365

Hernandez has faced Gil more than any other member of the Dodgers. Granted, it’s just five at-bats. But in those five at-bats, Hernandez has five hits, including a double and a homer. He also has a hit in every game of the World Series, including a home run in Game 2. Hernandez is a good candidate to get another hit in Game 4. One way or another, he should be able to add a run, RBI, or a second hit to his tally, so we’ll make him one of our targets on Tuesday.

Mookie Betts Over 1.5 Total Bases (+135) at bet365

One way or another, Betts is someone to target in Game 4. Betting on him to collect multiple bases offers the greatest value despite Betts falling short of that in two of the first three games. In 14 postseason games, Betts has gone over 1.5 total bases seven times. Keep in mind he’s collected multiple bases in four of his last six games, so things are trending in the right direction for him. For what it’s worth, he’s 1 for 3 with a double in his career against Gil, so it’s not as if he has a poor track record against the Game 4 starter.

Giancarlo Stanton Over 0.5 Home Runs (+250) at bet365

If the Yankees are going to make one last stand, Stanton figures to be part of it. Despite not hitting a home run in back-to-back games, Stanton still has six during the postseason, including five in eight games since the start of the ALCS. He went 2 for 4 with a double in Game 3, so he remains one of the few bright spots on the Yankees right now. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him go deep again in Game 4 and give his team a chance to stay alive for another day. It’s also worth mentioning that against three key Los Angeles relievers - Ryan Brasier, Daniel Hudson, and Blake Treinen - Stanton is a combined 10 for 25 with two home runs. With the Dodgers throwing a bullpen game, Stanton is actually in good shape against several of the pitchers he’s likely to face.

Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Strikeouts (+190) at bet365

Judge might be the MVP in the American League, but he’s had a horrible postseason. Going 0 for 3 with a walk and just one strikeout in Game 3 was somehow an improvement for him. Prior to Monday, Judge had multiple strikeouts in five consecutive games. Naturally, he’s someone to target for multiple strikeouts in Game 4. For a hitter who’s struggling like Judge, facing a different hitter in every at-bat is likely going to be difficult. That makes it harder to envision that Judge can somehow get on track and avoid the strikeouts that have plagued him throughout the playoffs.
