Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 10 17

The last two days of the week will feature both League Championship Series in action, giving us two games to choose from when looking for prop bets. Hopefully, that should yield better results for Thursday’s bets than Wednesday’s bets.

Today’s bets are from bet365 Sportsbook, which gives new users a choice between a $1,000 safety net on their first wager or $200 in bonus bets for making a $5 bet.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Yankees vs. Guardians (5:05 PM, EST)

Aaron Judge Over 0.5 Home Runs (+280) at bet365

After hitting a home run in Game 2, perhaps Judge is getting his groove back. It’s not as if hitting a home run in back-to-back games is foreign to him, so this feels like a good time to target him. It’s also worth mentioning that Judge is 2 for 6 with a home run in his career against Cleveland starter Matthew Boyd. He’s also homered in the past against several Cleveland relievers, including two home runs in eight at-bats against Eli Morgan, who is likely to be used in a must-win game for the Guardians. That increases Judge’s chances of taking someone deep in Game 3.

Steven Kwan 2+ Hits (+250) at bet365

Kwan has been a star during the postseason for the Guardians. While he’s a modest 2 for 8 in the ALCS, he had three consecutive three-hit games to close out the ALDS. After hitting .292 during the regular season, he’s someone who can collect multiple hits. With the odds he’s getting, it’s tough not to take a shot on this bet. Kwan is also 4 for 8 in his career against Clarke Schmidt, who starts for the Yankees. That gives Kwan a favorable matchup in Game 3 that can get him going and hitting the way he was hitting during the ALDS.

Jose Ramirez Over 0.5 RBI (+200) at bet365

In addition to Kwan, Ramirez also has a good history against Schmidt, going 4 for 9 with a double. In theory, Kwan could be in scoring position when Ramirez comes to the plate, giving him a chance to drive in a run. There is also a chance that Ramirez could hit a home run, something he’s done twice in the last four games. In a must-win game for the Guardians, they’re going to need their biggest star to make an impact. Ramirez is too good of a hitter and has too much postseason experience not to come through for them, making him a good target to drive in a run in Game 3.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Dodgers vs. Mets (8:08 PM, EST)

Jose Quintana Under 4.5 Hits (-130) at bet365

Quintana has been on fire for more than a month. He posted a 0.72 ERA in September and has now allowed one unearned run on six hits over 11 innings in the playoffs. In four of his last five starts, including four starts against playoff teams, he’s held opposing lineups to four hits or less. When Quintana gets into trouble, it’s usually with walks because he tends to pitch on the edge of the strike zone. The Dodgers are so patient that they’re more likely to generate base runners with walks than hits, which should keep Quintana’s hit total down.

Andy Pages Over 0.5 Hits (-115) at bet365

Ironically, we’re going to bet on Pages to get one of the few hits against Quintana. The young outfielder hit .357 against lefties during the regular season, so he’ll surely be in the lineup in Game 3. He’s also 2 for 3 in his career against Quintana, which is a small sample size but a strong indicator of success on Thursday. After all, it’s been the bottom part of the Los Angeles lineup that has done a lot of damage in this series, which should favor Pages to collect one measly hit.
