There is only one MLB game on Friday, but it’s a big one. The Padres and Dodgers are squaring off in a decisive, winner-take-all game. The Mets await the winner of this game in the NLCS, which begins on Sunday. But for now, we have five prop bets for Friday’s Game 5 between a pair of division rivals.
The odds for those bets are coming from bet365 Sportsbook, which gives new customers a choice between $200 in bonus bets for making a $5 bet and a safety net of $1,000 on their first wager.. There is also a 50% profit boost for any Padres-Dodgers same-game parlay.
After struggling in Game 1, the Dodgers are still going back to Yamamoto in Game 5. Including Game 1, Yamamoto gave up 13 runs on 13 hits over nine innings against the Padres this season. For whatever reason, he doesn’t fare well against this lineup. He also recorded just one strikeout over his three innings in Game 1. With this being a must-win game, the leash on Yamamoto will be short. He may not last long enough to record more than three strikeouts, especially given his history against the Padres.

Tatis was 1 for 4 with a double in Game 4, which is the closest the Dodgers have come to slowing him down all postseason. He’s 7 for 16 with six extra-base hits in the NLDS thus far. That means he’s had one single, three doubles, and three home runs. Tatis has gone over 1.5 total bases in all six of San Diego’s playoff games thus far. The kicker is that he went 3 for 3 with a double this year against Yamamoto. This could be the easiest prop of the game because the Dodgers haven’t been able to keep Tatis from hurting them.

While not to the level of Tatis, Bogaerts has also had a good series, going 4 for 15 with two extra-base hits, two runs scored, and four RBI. That makes the hit, run, and RBI combination prop perfect for him. Bogaerts failed to hit this in Game 4, but he’s gone over 1.5 total hits, runs, and RBI in the other three games. He also has a strong track record against Yamamoto, going 3 for 6 with a double and two RBI against him. Needless to say, Bogaerts is another member of the San Diego lineup who is set up for success in Game 5.

Darvish is on regular rest after starting Game 2 and is poised for another great performance. Going back to the regular season, he’s allowed two runs or less in four of his last five starts. That includes giving up just one run on three hits over seven innings in Game 2. While the Dodgers just saw Darvish a few years ago, there is little to indicate that they were close to figuring him out. Several key members of the Los Angeles lineup have poor numbers in their career against Darvish, who is a safe bet to give the Padres at least four or five solid innings before handing the game to the bullpen.

Smith is one of many Dodgers with poor numbers against Darvish. Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Teoscar Hernandez are also hitting under .200 against him. Smith, meanwhile, is just 6 for 31 (.194) with six strikeouts against Darvish. Of course, the reason we're targeting Smith to go hitless is because he’s had a poor series thus far. To his credit, Smith has been able to draw walks to get on base. But he’s also just 1 for 13 over the last four games. Despite his one hit being a home run, Smith shouldn't be looked at as a major threat, so we’ll gladly take plus odds on him having another hitless game.
