Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 10 09

Yesterday was one of our most aggressive sets of picks of the season and our most successful day, as we won multiple props with plus value, including a home run prop. Of course, none of that matters because Wednesday is a new day and a new set of picks. Luckily, all four Division Series are in action.

Wednesday’s odds are from bet365 Sportsbook, which gives new customers a choice between $200 in bonus bets for making a $5 bet and a safety net of $1,000 on their first wager.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Phillies vs. Mets (5:08 PM, EST)

Francisco Lindor Over 1.5 Total Bases (+115) at bet365

Lindor is just 3 for 13 in this series, although he had a double on Tuesday. He also put some good swings on the bat in Game 3 after multiple hits in Game 2, so it looks like he’s coming around and is ready to deliver something big in Game 4. In his career against Ranger Suarez, Lindor is 4 for 12 (.333). But don’t forget that he was much better as a right-handed hitter all season. Facing any lefty is going to be a good matchup for Lindor, pushing us to bet on him collecting multiple bases in this game.

Jose Iglesias Over 1.5 Total Bases (+155) at bet365

Iglesias has been even better than Lindor in his career against Suarez. Even in limited at-bats, he is 6 for 8 with two doubles against Suarez. That’s a sign that he enjoys facing him. Iglesias is also fresh off a two-hit game on Tuesday. Also, since September 4, Game 3 of the Wild Card Round is the only game in which Iglesias hasn’t had at least one hit. Even if he’s primarily a singles hitter, a multi-hit game is on the table for Iglesias. Of course, he could also hit a double given his favorable matchup against Suarez, giving this bet excellent value.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Yankees vs Royals (7:08 PM, EST)

MJ Melendez Over 0.5 Hits (-130) at bet365

Melendez is one of the last players on the Royals you expect to hurt the Yankees in Game 3. However, he’s 2 for 5 with a double in his career against Clarke Schmidt. This is also a game in which the Yankees could dig deep into their bullpen. Keep in mind that Melendez delivered two hits, including a home run, in Game 1, so his confidence is high. Even if he’s not a prime candidate, the odds for him getting one measly hit are too good to pass up.

Anthony Volpe Under 0.5 Hits (+170) at bet365

On the other side, Volpe is a good candidate to go hitless in Game 3. While he managed a hit in Game 3, that was his first hit since September 25. Since then, Volpe has just one hit in his last 17 at-bats. The kicker is that he’s 0 for 6 in his career against Kansas City starter Seth Lugo. The Yankees will stick with Volpe, but they can’t have high hopes, especially since Lugo allowed just three total hits in seven innings when he faced the Yankees in September.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Dodgers vs. Padres (9:08 PM, EST)

Fernando Tatis 4+ Hits, Runs, & RBI (+240) at bet365

It would be foolish not to include Tatis in a prop bet with the postseason he’s had thus far. His home run allowed us to hit on him collecting 4+ bases on Tuesday. There is similar value in him collecting 4+ hits, runs, & RBI in Game 4 on Wednesday. Tatis has reached at least four total hits, runs & RBI in all five of San Diego’s postseason games. He’s coming up with one big hit after another. While he only has a couple of at bats against Los Angeles starter Landon Knack, there is no reason to doubt Tatis will have another impactful game on Wednesday.
