Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 08 06

Our start to the week was solid but unspectacular, and now we turn our attention to the AL East. In a bit of an anomaly, all five of our MLB prop bets are coming from AL East teams. There are a lot of big names in this division, allowing us to find some lucrative bets in this division on Tuesday, so we just leaned into that. The odds for all of our Tuesday bets are from Caesars Sportsbook, where users can get a bonus bet of up to $1,000 if they lose their first bet after signing up.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Orioles vs. Blue Jays (7:07 PM, EST)

Gunnar Henderson Over 1.5 Hits (+178) at Caesars

Henderson is surely looking forward to facing Chris Bassitt on Tuesday. He’s 4 for 7 with two home runs against Bassitt in his young career. But rather than taking a chance on a home run or multiple bases, we’re going to target him to get multiple hits. Henderson is coming off back-to-back three-hit games and has multiple hits in four of his last five games. Given that recent stretch and his success against Bassitt in the past, Henderson is a good bet to keep going with multi-hit games, especially with these valuable odds.

Chris Bassitt Over 5.5 Hits Allowed (-113) at Caesars

Speaking of Bassitt, if he gives up a couple of hits to Henderson, he’s poised to allow a lot of hits in this game. Henderson isn’t the only member of the Baltimore lineup with a productive history against Bassitt, as the entire roster is hitting a combined .400 against Toronto’s starter. Bassitt gave up nine hits in just four innings against the Orioles in his last start. He’s now given up at least six hits in four of his last six starts. After posting a 7.01 ERA across his five starts in July, there is no evidence that Bassitt is ready to turn things around, so it’s an easy choice to fade him.

Vladimir Guerrero Over 0.5 RBI (+152) at Caesars

The good news for the Blue Jays on Tuesday is they might be able to score some runs to keep pace with Baltimore. If that’s the case, Guerrero could be the one doing the damage. He’s collected 10 RBI in his last eight games. It also helps that Guerrero is 6 for 12 in his last three games, so he’s red-hot at the moment, so he can be trusted to drive in runs when he gets a chance. Guerrero is also 5 for 14 (.357) with a pair of extra-base hits in his career against Baltimore starter Grayson Rodriguez, which is another reason to believe he’ll come up big in an RBI situation.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Angels vs. Yankees (7:05 PM, EST)

Anthony Volpe 0.5 Runs Scored (+152) at Caesars

Volpe has scored a run in six straight games, coinciding with the Yankees heating up offensively. Keep in mind he has 11 hits in those six games, so Volpe is getting on base and giving his teammates a chance to drive him in. On Tuesday, the Yankees will be facing Davis Daniel, an inexperienced starter who could have trouble against the Yankees. With such favorable odds for a player with a nine-game hitting streak on a good offensive team, there is great upside to Volpe scoring a run in this game.

Luis Gil Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-109) at Caesars

Over his last four starts, Gil has kicked it into another gear in terms of his strikeouts. He’s reached seven strikeouts in three of his last four starts, falling just one short of that threshold in the fourth start. When he faced the Angels earlier this season, Gil dominated, striking out nine over eight innings of work. The Angels should send out a similar subpar lineup against Gil on Tuesday, which bodes well for his chances to keep putting up impressive strikeout numbers.
