Friday could be a huge day for MLB offenses if our projections are accurate. After searching for prop bets, we came up with mostly hitters who are poised to succeed - and one pitcher to fade.
Not surprisingly, we’ve targeted a lot of familiar names, which only fills us with more confidence about ending the week strong. The odds we’re using Friday are from Caesars Sportsbook, which allows new users to get up to $1,000 for their first wager.

The Royals are facing Tarik Skubal on Friday, which is why we’re staying away from Bobby Witt Jr. and targeting Perez instead. The veteran catcher has had no problem handling left-handed pitching this year. He also has six hits in his last four games, including a pair of multi-hit games. The kicker is that he’s actually 8 for 24 with two doubles and three home runs in his career against Skubal. When he hits Skubal, he hits for power, which is why we have a good feeling about Perez collecting multiple bases on Friday.

One of the best ways to get value with Judge is an RBI prop. While he’s gone back-to-back games without an RBI, Judge accumulated 10 RBI in his previous four games. Keep in mind that he has four homers in his last six games, which is one path to an RBI. He and the Yankees are also facing Kevin Gausman, who has struggled this year and could be vulnerable against the powerful Yankees. Judge is also 11 for 37 with seven extra-base hits against Gausman, so he should be able to take advantage of his RBI opportunities.
Remember when Guerrero got off to a poor start this year? Neither do we because he now has the fourth-best batting average in the majors. Guerrero is also hitting with great power these days. During his 13-game hitting streak since the all-star break, he has 13 extra-base hits. He has collected multiple bases in five of his last six games and has a favorable matchup Friday against Marcus Stroman, who pitched to a 5.50 ERA in July and got rocked by the Red Sox in his last start. Stroman also had a subpar outing when he faced Toronto in late June, and if he has another bad start, Guerrero is likely to be one of the beneficiaries.

The Padres are facing Austin Gomber on Friday, which is great news for Profar. Against lefties, he’s batting .350 with an OPS of 1.014. He’s also 5 for 12 in his career against Gomber. On top of that, Gomber has at least one hit in eight of his last nine games. That stretch includes five multi-hit games and five extra-base hits. Given his hot bat and his track record against lefties, Profar is poised to do some serious damage against Gomber and the Rockies.
Naturally, we’re also going to be fading Gomber against the Padres. In his last 10 starts, there is only one in which the lefty has given up less than three runs. Also, while Luis Arraez and Manny Machado have a poor track record against him, Profar isn’t the only San Diego hitter with good career numbers against him. The Padres have also been red-hot offensively since the all-star break, so we don’t see how Gomber will be able to limit San Diego to two runs or less.
