Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 07 30

Monday was a good start to the week for us, especially after hitting our home run prop. However, we’re changing gears a little on Tuesday and putting the focus on pitchers. But that doesn’t mean we’re banking on pitchers to succeed because we’re actually fading some big names facing tough matchups. The odds for our bets are from Caesars Sportsbook, where new users are able to get a bonus bet of up to $1,000 if they miss on their first wager after signing up.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Yankees vs. Phillies (6:40 PM, EST)

Aaron Nola Over 1.5 Walks (-131) at Caesars

Nola has been good but far from invincible this year. On Tuesday, he faces the Yankees, who are fresh off a huge offensive night against Zack Wheeler on Monday. They also have one of the most patient lineups in baseball. With Nola unlikely to give in, that should lead to multiple walks. While Nola isn’t always prone to control issues, he’s walked multiple batters in two of his last three starts. Against one of the league leaders in drawing walks, that trend should continue.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Mariners vs. Red Sox (7:10 PM, EST)

Masataka Yoshida Over 0.5 RBI (+152) at Caesars

The Red Sox scored 14 runs on Monday and have scored at least six runs in eight of their last nine games. That makes this a good time to target their no. 3 hitter to get an RBI. Yoshida had 4 RBI on Monday and has eight in his last three games. It’s also worth noting that he’s 8 for 17 with three extra-base hits in his last four games. Yoshida is also 3 for 5 with three extra-base hits against Seattle’s Luis Castillo, so he’s likely to do some damage. With the rest of the Boston lineup clicking around him, we feel good about Yoshida grabbing another RBI.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Dodgers vs. Padres (9:40 PM, EST)

Tyler Glasnow Under 5.5 Strikeouts (+104) at Caesars

Admittedly, this is an unusual place to fade Glasnow, who is one of the league leaders in strikeouts. However, he only had four strikeouts and lasted just five innings in his last start. That was against a division rival that’s familiar with his stuff, which will be the case again on Tuesday. The Padres are one of the toughest teams in baseball to strike out, so reaching six strikeouts won’t be easy and may require Glasnow to pitch deep in the game. With plus odds, we’ll take a chance on Glasnow having another low strikeout total.

Matt Waldron Under 2.5 ER (-106) at Caesars

Backing Waldron against the mighty Dodgers is also a little curious. He’s actually allowed at least three runs in four of his last five starts. However, the Dodgers haven’t seen him since May and haven’t fared well against him this year. In fact, the Dodgers have just five hits against Waldron this year over 10.1 innings. The Los Angeles lineup he’ll face on Tuesday is also lacking Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, so the Dodgers are a little short-handed. That should allow Waldron to have another strong outing against the LA lineup.

Robbie Ray Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-109) at Caesars

While it was just one outing, Ray looked good in his season debut last week. He struck out eight batters in five hitless innings against the Dodgers. That might be a little surprising for some, but keep in mind that he’s a former Cy Young winner. For his encore, Ray will face the A’s, who rank among the league leaders in baseball at strikeouts. That’s the kind of favorable matchup that caught our eye. We might be a little overly optimistic about Ray after one start, but with these odds, it’s worth a shot.
