We’re not going to put too much stock into Friday’s bets because just like the players, we need a little time to shake off the rust from the all-star break. However, Monday begins a new week and gives us a new chance to make some winning prop bets. As usual, we’ve found great value with four of our five bets having plus odds. We’re also targeting some players we haven’t used in a while, so we’re not afraid to be bold to begin the week. The odds for these bets are from Caesars Sportsbook, which is giving new users a bonus bet of up to $1,000 if they lose their first wager.

It’s no secret that McNeil hasn't looked like himself this season. The former batting champ is hitting just .220 right now. However, he came back from the break on Friday with a three-hit game, including a pair of home runs. McNeil is also 4 for 5 against Miami starter Yonny Chirinos, giving him a favorable matchup on Monday. After being left out of the starting lineup on Sunday, McNeil should be fresh and well-rested, meaning he’ll be ready to be aggressive at the plate and have another productive game.

Much like McNeil, Riley isn’t having his best year, which is why we’ve targeted him infrequently for prop bets. On the other hand, he’s 3 for 11 with two extra-base hits since the break, so perhaps things will turn around for him. Riley will also enjoy facing Cincinnati’s Hunter Greene, going 3 for 6 with a pair of doubles against him in his career. Greene throws hard, which means if Riley can catch up, he has a chance to hit the ball a long way for an extra-base hit. That makes him a good candidate for this prop bet on a day when there aren’t a lot of favorable matchups for hitters.
Right before the all-star break, Lopez got knocked around for three runs on 11 hits by the Padres. But we’re going to believe that performance was just an aberration. Prior to that, Lopez conceded four hits or less in four of his last five starts. In fact, he’s now done that in 10 of his 17 starts overall. Most members of the Reds haven’t faced Lopez a lot in the past, which gives the pitcher an advantage. Cincinnati’s lineup isn’t exactly a juggernaut, which is why we can get behind Lopez limiting them to a low hit total.

Anderson has been a bright spot for the Angels this year and a potential trade chip at the deadline. But he went into the all-star break slumping, allowing at least three runs in three of his last four starts. In his final start before the break, it was the Mariners collecting four runs on six hits against him. Several key members of the Seattle lineup have a strong history against Anderson with Julio Rodriguez, Mitch Garver, and Ty France being a combined 8 for 19 with five extra-base hits against him. Look for the Mariners to do some damage against Anderson again.
With Anderson likely to struggle, this is a good opportunity to target Miller to be the winning pitcher. He’s just 7-7 on the season but has pitched better than that record suggests. While he’s had some hiccups along the way, Miller has steamrolled some of the weaker teams in baseball. That includes six scoreless innings against the Angels when he faced them in early June. He should have success against them on Monday, and with the extra rest from the break, Miller should have no problem pitching deep enough to pick up the win.
