As usual, MLB has given us an abbreviated schedule on Thursday. But that hasn’t stopped us from putting together a good set of prop picks in the past and it shouldn’t stop us today. Fortunately, some of my favorite teams and players to target are in action on Thursday, which made my job a little easier. Today’s odds are from Caesars Sportsbook, which is offering $1,000 First Bet with Promo Code WSN1000.

Now feels like a good time to take a chance on a home run prop with Judge. He’s homered five times in his last eight games, including both losses in this week’s Subway Series, giving him 30 on the season. When Judge is in a groove like this, you never know if and when he’s going to slow down. He and the Yankees make the journey to Toronto on Thursday to face Berrios. In his career, Judge is 12 for 29 (.414) with two doubles and four home runs against Berrios. That’s roughy a homer every seven at-bats against Berrios, but given his current form, Judge could easily improve upon that rate.
While Judge is scorching hot, don’t sleep on Guerrero making an impact on Thursday’s game. He’s heated up lately as well, going 7 for 14 with five extra-base hits over his last three games. It might only be three games, but that is some serious productivity. Yet, we’re still getting plus odds for this bet. The kicker is that Guerrero is 4 for 6 in his career against Carlos Rodon. That puts Guerrero in a great position to continue his hot streak and collect multiple bases on Thursday one way or another.

Wacha isn’t our favorite member of the Kansas City rotation that we like to target, but he’s been remarkably consistent lately. He’s gone six straight starts giving up two earned runs or less. We wish we had spotted this trend earlier, although we’re still getting good odds on Wacha continuing to hold teams to two runs or less. While there are a few Cleveland hitters we like to target, Wacha has excellent numbers against the team’s best hitters, so we’ll take our chances riding Wacha’s hot streak.
With a shortened schedule, targeting Witt was almost a given. Unfortunately, his odds for collecting at least two bases in a game have dropped considerably. But after going hitless in three straight games, Witt has now hit an extra-base hit in three straight games. We’re willing to bet that he’s getting back on track. He’s also 2 for 3 in a small sample against Ben Lively, so we still feel good about this bet.

Flaherty has been on an absolute tear lately. While he isn’t necessarily going deep into games, that actually works to our benefit in this bet. The bottom line is that he’s allowed one run or less in four consecutive starts. In fact, he’s pitched at least five scoreless innings in three of those starts, giving him a 0.57 ERA in June. Flaherty has actually faced some decent offensive teams during that stretch. Now he gets to face the Angels, who simply don’t have the pieces to do much damage against him if Flaherty is able to keep doing what he’s done so well over the last month.
