After a hitter-heavy slate on Tuesday, the hit parade continues for us on Wednesday. Granted, we’ve included a couple of pitchers among today’s prop bets. But we’re also leaning heavily into some well-known hitters doing some damage. More times than not, we’re getting plus odds, especially with the hitters we’re targeting, so we feel there is a lot of value. The odds for these prop bets are from Caesars Sportsbook, which is giving new customers a no-risk bet of up to $1,000 after they sign up.

The Mariners have the misfortune of leading the big leagues in strikeouts. Of course, they only have themselves to blame for that. Either way, that’ll make Bibee’s job a little easier. The Cleveland starter is averaging well over a strikeout per inning and has reached at least seven strikeouts in three straight starts and four of his last five starts. Since he’s coming off an 11-strikeout performance against the Reds in just 5.1 innings, Bibee should have no problem reaching at least seven strikeouts against the Mariners.

Duran is one of those players we target every now and then, although we should probably target him more often. We chose him for Wednesday because he’s in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak. Doing those nine games, Duran has five extra-base hits and four multi-hit games. Equally important, he’s been outstanding in the past against Toronto’s Kevin Gausman, going 5 for 10 with four doubles. With Gausman not having his best year, Duran should have an even better chance of doing some damage.
Guerrero got off to a rough start this year, which is why we’ve stayed away from him a lot. But he’s picked it up since the start of May, so he’s back on our radar. Against Boston’s Brayan Bello, Guerrero is 7 for 14 with four extra-base hits. That history makes us think that a multi-hit game is on the table for Guerrero. This is certainly a risky pick since Guerrero has just one multi-hit game in his last 11 games. But we think the value we’re getting from Caesars makes this bet worth a shot.

Ragans has been a little up and down with his strikeout rate this year. In his last start, he only had four strikeouts against the Dodgers. But he’s also reached at least seven strikeouts in four of his last six starts. On the season, he has 102 strikeouts - ranking fourth in the big leagues - over 86 innings of work. The key to this bet is the fact that the A’s rank second in the league in strikeouts. A pitcher like Ragans should be able to rack up a lot of strikeouts against Oakland’s lineup. He’s also a safe bet to pitch at least six innings in this game, which should be enough time to reach eight strikeouts.
Witt is another player we target frequently with prop bets. However, we’re not going with total bases; instead, we like Witt to get multiple hits, which gives us a little more value. Despite going hitless in Tuesday’s loss to the A’s, Witt has four multi-hit games in his last seven games. The last time he went hitless in a game, which was May 28, Witt immediately had three straight multi-hit games. Against Luis Medina and Oakland’s bullpen, we’ll bank on Witt bouncing back like that again and having a big game.
