There are some days when we try to target star players and familiar names with our prop bets. But Tuesday isn’t one of those days. During our research, we found several forgotten, overlooked, and unfamiliar names with favorable matchups, so we just decided to go with it. To be fair, you’ve probably heard of these players before, but for whatever reason, they’ve fallen off the radar a little. However, we’re bringing them back with prop bets on Tuesday. The odds are from Caesars Sportsbook, where new users can get a no-sweat bet of up to $1,500 on their first wager.

Winker hasn’t exactly revitalized his career in Washington this year. But he’s in the midst of a host streak at the moment, recording at least one hit in six of his last seven games. The only reason he didn’t have a hit on Sunday to snap that six-game hit streak is because he walked three times. Winker and the Nats have a favorable matchup on Tuesday against Kenta Maeda and his 6.25 ERA. Even before Maeda’s struggles this year, Winker had a good track record against him. He’s 4 for 8 with two doubles in his career against Maeda, so we’re confident he can manage at least one hit on Tuesday.

This has been a rough year for Swanson, who’s batting just .226. But we’ve been keeping an eye on him because he’s still a good player and he’s finally started to heat up a little. Over his last five games, Swanson is 8 for 19 with four extra-base hits. He also has an excellent track record against Zach Eflin, who he faces on Tuesday. Swanson has gone 12 for 31 (.387) with six doubles and two home runs. You might want to sprinkle in a more aggressive prop with Swanson given those numbers. But we’ll play it safe and back Swanson to get one measly hit.

Smith is getting a chance with Boston this year but is only batting .221. However, he’ll face Zack Wheeler, his former teammate with the Mets, on Tuesday. For whatever reason, Smith has excelled against Wheeler whenever the two have crossed paths as opponents. He’s 13 for 31 (.419) with two extra-base hits against Wheeler. That’s enough of a track record to make his think that Smith will find a way to get at least one hit on Tuesday.
Obviously, Wheeler is a known commodity, so he doesn’t necessarily fit our theme of the day. However, we’ve decided to fade him, which is unusual. Somehow, Wheeler has gone five straight starts with at least two walks. He actually issued three walks in three of those five starts. It’s hard to ignore that, especially when the over/under is set at 1.5 walks. Wheeler is still going deep into games, which actually makes us feel better about his chances of walking at least two Red Sox.

While Sears is having a solid season, we’re still going to fade him. Over his last starts, he’s allowed at least four runs in every other start. His lack of consistency from one start to the next has actually become consistently inconsistent. Based on the pattern, Sears is going to give up at least four runs on Tuesday after a solid outing in his last start. He’s also facing a San Diego lineup that’s averaging eight runs per game over its last four games. That’s enough to fade Sears in Tuesday's game.
