Tuesday marks the return of a full MLB schedule, giving us plenty of prop bet options. While choosing Tuesday’s props, we focused on hitters who are red-hot or have a great history against the pitcher they’ll be facing. To be fair, we included a couple of pitchers, although we did fade one of them. Nevertheless, we feel confident in these picks. The odds provided are from Caesars Sportsbook, which is offering a no-sweat bet for new users up to $1,000 on their first wager.

The Yankees have won five in a row and scored at least six runs in four straight games heading into Tuesday’s game against Ober and the Twins. That makes this the perfect occasion to fade Ober, who owns a less-than-impressive 4.89 ERA. Over his last 14 innings across three starts, Ober has allowed 13 runs on 21 hits, and it’s not as if he’s faced offensive juggernauts during that time. With a red-hot team like the Yankees playing in their home ballpark, Ober is bound to struggle, so we’ll take plus odds on him giving up at least half a dozen hits.
While he only has three at-bats in his career against Ober, two of those at-bats have resulted in a double for Soto. That got our attention, although the guy is also batting .322 with 31 extra-base hits. Soto is coming off back-to-back multi-hit games and has gone over 1.5 total bases five times during his current seven-game hitting streak. We were a little surprised to see that he still has plus odds for this wager, especially against a pitcher like Ober who’s struggled in his recent starts. It’d be irresponsible not to take a chance on Soto staying hot and delivering multiple bases one way or another.

Imanaga is the one pitcher we like on Tuesday. Oddly enough, he hasn’t recorded a win in his last four starts. Imanaga is also coming off the worst start of his MLB career, yielding seven runs over 4.1 innings against the Brewers. But even after that disastrous outing, he still has a 1.86 ERA. There is every reason to think Imanaga will bounce back against the White Sox, who have lost 11 in a row and 15 of their last 16 games. It’s a safe bet the Cubs will win, and since Imanaga has pitched at least six innings in six of his 10 starts, he should be well-positioned to be the winning pitcher.
Swanson is certainly a risk with a bet like this because he’s only hitting .203 on the season. But he does have a hit in three of his last four games, and two of those hits have gone for extra bases. However, the thing that grabbed our attention is the fact that he’s 7 for 11 with three extra-base hits in his career against Chris Flexen of the White Sox. For whatever reason, Swanson owns Flexen. That makes us think Swanson will have a good game on Tuesday and somehow collect multiple bases.

McMahon is another hitter with a favorable matchup on Tuesday. He’s 4 for 4 with two doubles in his career against Cincinnati’s Frankie Montas. It’s a small sample, but it was enough to get our attention, especially since McMahon is having a solid season. Montas isn’t exactly pitching well at the moment, giving up seven runs on 15 hits over his last 12 innings. Now he has to pitch at Coors Field, which should give McMahon a chance to do some damage against a pitcher he’s owned in his career.
