Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 06 03

Monday gave us a somewhat limited MLB schedule to work with for our prop bets. However, we came up with a sizable list of options before focusing most of our efforts on the Tigers vs Rangers game. Of course, we sprinkled in some other props to create a good mix. The odds we’re using for Monday are from Caesars Sportsbook, which is giving new users $1,000 First Bet on Caesars.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Orioles vs. Blue Jays (7:07 PM, EST)

Ryan Mountcastle Over 1.5 Total Bases (-108) at Caesars

Mountcastle is in the midst of a long hot streak, getting at least one hit in the last 10 games he’s started. In those 10 games, he has five multi-hit games and seven extra-base hits. That gives him two clear paths toward collecting multiple bases in Monday’s game, which is why these aren’t the most lucrative odds. Mountcastle is also 6 for 14 (.429) with a double in his career against Toronto starter Kevin Gausman. That makes Gausman an excellent candidate to do some damage on Monday.

Tarik Skubal Over 1.5 ER (-157) at Caesars

Obviously, Skubal has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year, rocking a 2.01 ERA. But an over/under of 1.5 earned runs is low for a pitcher who's allowed at least two runs and six hits in three of his last five starts. Texas brings a solid lineup that knocked Skubal around a little bit earlier this year. The likes of Adolis Garcia, Jonah Heim, Nathaniel Lowe, and Corey Seager are a combined 12 for 27 (.444) with six extra-base hits in their careers against Skubal. We don’t like this matchup for him, which is why we’re fading Skubal on Monday.

Corey Seager Over 1.5 Total Bases (+139) at Caesars

Seager is 4 for 6 with a double in his career against Skubal, so the lefty-on-lefty matchup doesn’t scare us. Also, Seager has a double in two of his last three games, so he’s breaking out of his stretch of barely hitting doubles at all early in the year. That makes him a slightly better candidate to collect more than 1.5 total bases. He’s also in the midst of a 15-game hitting streak that includes a stretch of eight home runs in eight games. Seager has gone over 1.5 total bases in 11 of 15 games during his hitting streak, so we’ll get behind him to keep that up.

Adolis Garica Over 0.5 RBI (+159) at Caesars

With Seager an obvious candidate to get on base in this game and Marcus Semien 5 for 11 with three walks in his last three games, this is a good time to target Garcia to collect an RBI. After all, he’s hitting beyond those two table-setters, so the RBI opportunities should be there. Garcia also has 13 home runs this year, which is another path toward an RBI. The kicker is that he’s 3 for 8 with two doubles in his career against Skubal, so he also has a good track record against Detroit’s starter.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Padres vs. Angels (9:38 PM, EST)

Matt Waldron Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-119) at Caesars

Waldron isn’t the type of pitcher we typically target. But oddsmakers haven’t adjusted to his recent success. He’s allowed two runs or less in four straight starts. Waldron also has at least six strikeouts in each of those four starts. He’s actually collected 31 strikeouts over 23 innings across those four starts. With a more than favorable matchup against the Angels on Monday, it’s not a stretch to envision Waldron collecting at least five strikeouts, probably more.
