The Orioles won and swept the Red Sox at Fenway Park because of their fantastic offense. Their pitching wasn’t great, but the offense delivered in high-leverage situations, making for a Fenway laser show. 

The entire team hit for the Orioles, but Gunnar Henderson consistently led the team. He is batting .212 on the season with three homers and eight RBI. He went hitless against the Brewers yesterday but has a great chance to rebound. 

Henderson hit 2+ total bases in every game against the Red Sox. He can do everything at the plate, which makes this a profitable wager. He surpassed 2+ bases with a double, triple, and a homer at Fenway Park.

This bet is even more appealing because it’s plus money, so bookmakers haven’t shortened the price with the high hit rate as of late. Henderson will face former Orioles pitcher DL Hall, who shouldn’t be much of a challenge. 

Hall is 0-1 with a 4.82 ERA and a 1.93 WHIP. Over 9.1 innings, he has allowed 14 hits with just six strikeouts. If Henderson doesn’t have the fear of striking out in the back of his mind, it should make for a smoother approach at the plate.

Best MLB Prop Bets This Weekend: Padres vs. Dodgers (9:10 PM, EST)

Mookie Betts 2+ Total Bases (-130) at FanDuel

Mookie Betts has been the best hitter in baseball throughout the season. He continues to amaze at the plate with his elite power and ability to drive the baseball to every part of the yard. 

Betts will face the Padres in game two of a weekend series, and he surpassed this total on Friday. However, San Diego stunned him at the dish all night as he was just 1-6. The solo hit was a homer that drove in three runs, but Los Angeles still fell to San Diego, 8-7. 

Betts is batting .344 on the season and tied for the league lead in homers with six in 2024. He is also first in OPS in baseball with a 1.202. Betts is known for extra-base hits, which makes the total bases prop worth taking with the future Hall of Fame player. 

Even though the price is costly at -130, it’s still a viable betting option because his hit rate is so high, especially against the Padres. Betts has been the Padres biggest enemy this season, going 7-15 off San Diego with two homers and 10 RBI. 

Betts will face Matt Waldron, who has been inconsistent this season. Waldron is 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.5 WHIP. Over 9.1 innings, he has allowed 12 hits. 

The one positive aspect of Waldron’s game is that he is a very good strikeout pitcher. Betts has an excellent eye at the plate, and we should see this again tonight. The Dodgers don’t lose on back-to-back nights too often, so this should give the team a spark. 

If the lineup moves, Betts has an even greater chance to surpass his total bases prop.
