Both offenses in this matchup are struggling tremendously. Seattle is hitting .210 as a team in 2025, and Cincinnati is the second-worst in the league, hitting .200. 

The offenses will continue to struggle as two great pitchers take the mound. Expect runs to come at a premium and both pitchers to go deep into this game.

Giants vs. Phillies (6:45 PM, EST)

Phillies Moneyline (-155) at Caesars Sportsbook

San Francisco is second in the NL West, trailing the Padres in the division. Philadelphia is also in second in the NL East. 

The Giants have been the biggest surprise in baseball with their hot start, as most thought the Dodgers would cruise all season. They now have an essential series against a good Phillies team that can hit. 

Justin Verlander will start for the Giants. He has a 6.92 ERA in three starts, but I expect improved results as his stamina gets better.

The Phillies will go with Jesus Luzardo, who is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA in 2025. In his last two starts, he has pitched 13 innings, allowing just one run. 

Philadelphia has the clear advantage in this game with the better pitcher on the mound. We expect the Phillies' offense to knock Verlander out of the game early and coast to a win.

The Padres lead the MLB in team batting average, hitting .283, but now face Imanaga, who has been outstanding. San Diego will struggle to score runs in this contest. 

Imanaga is 2-1 with a 2.70 ERA in 23.1 innings this season. He is coming off a lousy start, allowing five runs in five innings, which rarely happens. 

Look for Imanaga to bounce back and dominate the Padres' offense on Tuesday.
