The Boston Red Sox are off to a very slow start to the 2025 season. The team has been horrendous on offense, with Rafael Devers leading the charge.
Devers is 0-16 in four games with 12 strikeouts. He has recorded double-digit strikeouts in each game this season, which is very concerning.
However, the Red Sox have been very good at keeping games close this season. This is surprising with an anemic lineup, but the team has either won or lost by less than one run in three of their past four games.
The Orioles present many challenges for Boston in their home opener, but we still believe the Red Sox will deliver on the run line. Sean Newcomb will pitch for Boston, and he has been inconsistent the past two seasons.
Yet, when he finds the strike zone, his upside is tremendous. Combined with Boston’s bullpen, the Red Sox have an edge for a great price on the run line.

The Philadelphia Phillies look like one of the only teams in the National League that can upset the Dodgers in the pennant race. Philadelphia must play better than they did on Sunday, losing 5-1 to the Nationals.
However, they won the series' first two games by a combined 18-9 margin. When Philadelphia plays its best baseball, they’re very hard to beat.
German Marquez will pitch for the Rockies. He is coming off a season in which he recorded a 6.75 ERA and a 2.25 WHIP in just four innings.
Despite the small sample size, this has been Marquez's consistent performance throughout his career. We trust the Phillies' offense to get back on track and put up numerous runs on Monday.

The Dodgers are 5-0 and look the part in 2025. Los Angeles is the heavy favorite to win the World Series this season, and for good reason.
The Dodgers have the deepest lineup in baseball. Even players like Mookie Betts, suffering from a severe virus before the season, have gotten out to a dominant start.
Tyler Glasnow will pitch for Los Angeles, and while he has dealt with plenty of setbacks, he is one of the best pitchers in baseball when he is dealing.
The Braves are 0-4, and this is the worst series after starting the year winless.
