Nestor Cortes will pitch for Milwaukee against his old team, and New York has the edge. These hitters have seen him in Spring Training and live at-bats for years. 

They also know his entire pitching arsenal, giving them a great scouting report. Max Fried will take the ball for the Yankees, and he is coming off a great season in Atlanta. 

Fried spent the past eight seasons in Atlanta, and we expect him to keep building his All-MLB resume in the Bronx.

Phillies vs. Nationals (4:06 PM, EST)

Devers most likely won’t start hitting this weekend, which means the Red Sox pitching staff must continue to produce. Texas’ offense hasn’t been spectacular either, so they will likely struggle against Walker Buehler. 

Buehler ended the 2024 season with a World Series ring and statement performances against the Yankees. Look for him to build off these big games and find a way to keep Boston in this contest.
