The Los Angeles Dodgers walked into Yankee Stadium and ended New York’s dreams of climbing back into the World Series race. Only the 2004 Red Sox have overcome a 3-0 playoff deficit, so while the Yankees have a chance historically, it’s not probable.
Of the 24 World Series that started 3-0, 21 have ended in a sweep, and three have ended in Game 5. It would be impressive if New York could send this series back to Los Angeles.

Aaron Judge will win American League MVP, but he has played like a benchwarmer in the playoffs. Judge’s performances have worsened in the World Series, as he can barely put the ball in play.
Judge batted .322 with 58 home runs and 144 RBI in the regular season. His 1.159 OPS was the best in baseball, but he is just 6-43 in the postseason with 20 strikeouts. He has struck out seven times in 12 at-bats in the World Series.
We can’t count on Judge to fix his issues at the plate, and if he doesn’t hit, the Yankees' chances of winning this series are slim. The Dodgers have moved the lineup, which is their strength.
Freddie Freeman has been the team’s MVP, but they have many weapons on offense. The Yankees need Judge; without him, their lineup isn’t comparable to the Dodgers.
Combined with the Yankees facing elimination, we have no reason to back them as a favorite.

The Dodgers haven’t named a starting pitcher, but the Yankees have some explosive hitters at the top of the lineup who can neutralize any wing. While Judge isn’t hitting, we believe the Yankees can score some runs.
Alex Verdugo had a late home run yesterday, helping the live over of 4.5 cash in the final inning. Additionally, Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton have been solid at the plate in the postseason.
With the Yankees facing elimination, we anticipate these two stepping up and contributing at least one home run between the two players.
The Dodgers have so many offensive weapons, so we have no fear they will do their part to take this total over the line. Luis Gill will throw for the Yankees, and he hasn’t been great in four postseason innings.
He has allowed three hits with three walks. The right-hander could be dominant tonight, but too many Dodgers are hitting to lean under the 8.5-run total.

We are taking Freddie Freeman to 2+ bases to close our parlay. Freddie Freeman has looked like an MVP throughout the entire series.
He jumpstarted the scoring in Game 2 with a two-run home run in the top of the first inning. The Bronx had a lot of life heading into the first pitch, and Freeman quickly stripped the city of all their excitement.
Freeman is batting .333 in the World Series, with a home run each game. He has seven RBI and no strikeouts. There isn’t a better hitter in the World Series than Freeman currently, and he hasn’t lost a leg of our parlay yet.
