Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers ended the Yankees' Game 1 dreams in the bottom of the 10th inning. New York had a 3-2 lead on Friday night with two outs in the 10th with Nestor Cortes on the mound.
Aaron Boone elected for Cortes to pitch to Freeman, and he made him pay. Freeman sent a ball deep into the right field bleachers, giving Los Angeles a 1-0 lead in the World Series.

The Yankees were the best team in the AL East all season, but they have met their match with the NL West champs. New York can compete with Los Angeles, but they must be perfect to win.
One small mistake can hurt their chances, which was apparent in Game 1 of the World Series. Los Angeles is set up better to win Game 2 than they were in Game 1. They have Yashinobu Yamamoto on the mound and don’t have to face Gerrit Cole.
Carlos Rodon has big shoes to fill, considering Cole was fantastic in Game 1 of the series. We believe Yamamoto will have the better game of the two starting pitchers, and his task is much easier.
New York’s bottom of the order struggled in Game 1, which has been a trend throughout the playoffs. If Yamamoto can stay clear of Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and Giancarlo Stanton, who had a two-run home run in Game 1, the Dodgers should go up 2-0 in this series.
Neither pitcher has been fantastic in the playoffs, but we trust the Dodgers stacked lineup to make the difference.

Anyone who bet the Yankees to win Game 1 of the World Series experienced a brutal beat. However, it wasn’t nearly as rough as under bettors, who lost their ticket thanks to the Freddie Freeman grand slam.
The game would have gone under the total if Freeman hit a three-run shot. The bases were only loaded because Boone elected to walk Mookie Betts and pitch to Freeman.
We believe many games will go over the line in the World Series. Both offenses are potent and can quickly put up crooked numbers. The two starting pitchers should yield a lot of runs in Game 2.
Rodon has a 4.4 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP in the postseason. He has allowed 15 hits in 14.1 innings. Yamamoto has a 5.11 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP thus far, so neither pitcher can limit their opponents.

We are taking Freddie Freeman to record a hit to close out our parlay. Freeman’s confidence should be through the roof following his walk-off grand slam.
One hit can change the trajectory of a player’s approach at the plate. Freeman was hurting earlier in the playoffs, but he seems fine now.
In Game 1, Freeman was 2-5 with a home run, triple, and four RBIs. He has recorded a hit in three of his past five playoff games, so look for him to stay hot off of Rodon.
