The Cubs take on the Giants in San Francisco, with Shota Imanaga on the mound. Chicago is 37-43, ten games behind Milwaukee in the NL Central. The Giants are 38-42 in fourth place in the NL West

Phillies Moneyline (-290) at FanDuel

The Marlins travel to Philadelphia to take on the first-place Phillies. Miami is 28-51 in last place in the NL East. The Phillies have a 7.5-game lead on the Braves and are the favorites to win the division at -370 on FanDuel sportsbook. 

Miami is starting Tyler Rogers with a 4.90 ERA and 1-8 record in 2024. He has fanned 60 batters in 75.1 innings. Rogers has done a good job of keeping the ball in the ballpark against Philadelphia, but they are hitting .474 against him this season.

The Phillies are going with Zack Wheeler, who is 9-4 with a 2.73 ERA and has struck out 107 batters in 99 innings. In Wheeler’s last outing, he went seven innings, allowing just one run on two hits against Arizona. 

Wheeler has been outstanding at home, tossing 59.2 innings and allowing just 11 earned runs. We expect him to have another great start and for the Philadelphia bats to score many runs off Rogers.

The Guardians take on the Royals in Kansas City in a crucial divisional matchup. Cleveland is 51-26 with a nine-game lead in the AL Central. The Royals are 43-38 in third place and trail the Guardians by ten games. 

The Guardians are starting Ben Lively, who is 7-3 with a 3.03 ERA. He has a WHIP of 1.16 and is coming off a 5.2-inning performance, allowing two runs on three hits against Toronto. 

The Royals are going with Michael Wacha, who is 4-6 with a 4.07 ERA. He has struck out 61 batters in 73 innings and has a 1.22 WHIP. In Wacha’s last three starts, he has gone 16.1 innings, only allowing five runs on 11 hits. 

Kansas City has been struggling on offense, scoring only seven runs in their last five games against the Marlins and Rangers.
