This pick is relatively straightforward. For starters, the Rockies have the second-worst road record in the big leagues. They've also lost six of their last seven games that Ryan Feltner has started. Feltner has conceded at least five runs in four of his last six starts, so he’s not even giving the Rox a chance most of the time. Two of those four poor starts came on the road, so he can’t blame Coors Field for his woes. While the Cardinals are struggling just to get back to .500, they're typically in good hands with Kyle Gibson on the mound. Gibson has been solid over the past month and has good numbers against several Colorado hitters. That should be enough to give the Cards a win at home.

Even with Miami taking the series opener on Friday, this game is a clear mismatch. The first-place Guardians have been good on the road and 14-7 when coming off a loss. They are also well set up with Ben Lively and his 2.84 ERA getting the start. The Guards have won his last four starts and are 6-3 with him on the mound this year. The Marlins have also been held to three runs or less in four of their last five games, so Miami’s path to victory is narrow. They probably can’t rely on Roddery Munoz to out-pitch Lively, so we feel safe backing Cleveland to win this game.

This is a relatively low threshold for strikeouts, which makes it perfect for our parlay. Stone struggled to rack up strikeouts early in the year, but he’s reached at least four strikeouts in five of his last six starts since the beginning of May. He’s also thrown 12 straight scoreless innings across his last two starts, so he’s in a groove at the moment. Reaching four strikeouts shouldn't be asking too much.
While Stone should collect a few strikeouts, that doesn’t mean he’ll be able to handle Judge. On top of leading the league in home runs, Judge has a hit in seven of his last eight games with five multi-hit games during that stretch. He’s crushing everyone at the moment, so much so that the only way to keep Judge from getting a hit is to walk him. We don’t expect Stone to be afraid of Judge, which means he should get a hit.
With Nestor Cortes starting for the Yankees, Pages is perfect to target to get a hit because he smashes lefties and is getting quality odds. The rookie is batting .366 against southpaws and was red-hot before going hitless on Friday. Before that, he had a hit in seven straight games he had started, making Pages a valuable part of our parlay.
Despite these teams combining for just three runs on Friday, they’ll bust out the bats on Saturday. We’ve teased the over/under to make it a little more manageable just in case Stone and Cortes get into a pitcher’s duel. But both teams were clicking offensively prior to Friday’s game, so it shouldn’t take much for the Yankees and Dodgers to combine for at least seven runs on Saturday.
