The Thursday Major League Baseball slate is loaded with day games. The value is high early and fades in the afternoon. Our Thursday parlay has two early start times combined with one night game.
We’re starting the day with the New York Mets on the moneyline. At 2:35, the Rangers will host the Nationals, and we’re taking Texas before the parlay concludes with the Guardians on the run line at night.

The Chicago Cubs and New York Mets are evenly matched teams, and Thursday should be competitive. However, Chicago has a slight advantage.
The Cubs may have a starting pitching advantage, but we trust Adrian Houser for the Mets. This is hard to say because Houser is 0-3 with an 8.37 ERA and a 1.9 WHIP. Yet, he has faced some of the best lineups in baseball, which have shelled him this year.
Houser has faced the Braves and Dodgers this season, where he allowed a combined 13 runs. Despite facing some of the best teams in the league, he has still allowed just one home run. If a pitcher limits homers, they have a chance to win.
Chicago doesn’t have an elite lineup, and they have been far from dominant over the past two weeks. Houser should be able to control the zone, and get this game to the bullpen tied or with the lead.

The Texas Rangers are better than the Washington Nationals in every phase of the game. Texas beat Washington by six runs in the series' first game, and we believe the finale could result in another big win.
Mitchell Parker will pitch for Washington, and he has been fantastic in 16 innings. The lefthander is 2-0 with a 1.69 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP. He usually gives the Nationals a chance to win, but Nathan Eovaldi, who was critical for the Rangers World Series run, is his counterpart.
Eovaldi is a savvy veteran who knows how to maneuver lineups. He is 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. While he hasn’t been great, the Nationals are batting .233 as a team compared to the Rangers at .250.
The Rangers have also scored 139 more runs than the Nationals and hit seven more homers. Their offense and a strong game from Eovaldi should lead to a win.

The Houston Astros aren’t a team that deserves respect this season. They should heat up, but they’re not yet at this point in the season. The team is nearly ten games under .500 overall and at home and has struggled in the AL West.
They haven’t done much in 2024 and are still priced based on past performances. Houston is a heavy favorite over the Guardians on Friday, and its pitcher is 0-3 with a 10.97 ERA and a 2.34 WHIP.
Spencer Arrighetti has been horrendous this season for Houston, and we don’t think he will be great against Cleveland.
Logan Allen will pitch for the Guardians, and while he hasn’t been good, the odds are pushing us to Cleveland on the run line. The juice is slightly high for a +1.5 run line, but it works to close out the parlay.
