The weekend brings a full slate of games on the MLB schedule, which makes it easy to put together multiple parlays. That’s exactly what we’ve done with Saturday’s MLB schedule. First, there is a two-leg parlay for teams we expect to win. Next is a three-leg same-game parlay. We feel confident that we’ll be able to hit both parlays, so feel free to copy us or create your own parlay. Our odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook, which is giving new users $200 in bonus bets just for signing up and placing an initial $5 bet.
Betting against the White Sox might be the safest thing anybody can do right now. They have just three wins all season, and after stealing one from the Royals on Wednesday, they aren’t due to win another game for a while. More importantly, of their 16 losses, only four have come by a single run. That means it’s safe to bet on the Phillies to cover the spread, adding a little more value to our parlay. Somehow, Zack Wheeler is still winless on the season, so he’ll be eager to face the White Sox and change that. He’ll be opposed by Chicago’s Mike Soroka and his 6.98 ERA. In other words, everything about this matchup screams a lopsided win for the Phillies.
Surprisingly, betting against the A’s isn’t the automatic that you think. But we have a strong feeling the Guardians should be able to handle Oakland with Alex Wood starting for the A’s. Wood has an 8.10 ERA and has only completed five full innings once in four starts, meaning the Oakland bullpen will carry a heavy burden. That’s usually not going to be a winning recipe for the A’s. To be fair, Logan Allen starting for Cleveland is far from a sure thing. But with the Guards winning five of their last six games and jumping to first in the AL Central, it’s hard not to be confident that they’ll take care of business at home and win by multiple runs.
For any game at Coors Field, there’s nothing wrong with lumping multiple hit props into a parlay. That’s going to be our main strategy on Saturday. It starts with Diaz, who’s batting .310 on the season and has at least one hit in 10 of his last 11 seasons. He's also 3 for 8 in his career against Seattle's Luis Castillo
Haniger is another safe bet to get a hit on Saturday. Mostly known for his power, Haniger is batting .292 on the season. More importantly, he's currently in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak. In his 18 games this year, Haniger has failed to record a hit just three times. We don’t expect his success to change at a hitter’s paradise like Coors Field.
Normally, this would be a high number of hits allowed by Castillo. But he's not off to a great start in 2024. Castillo has allowed at least six hits in each of his starts this season. While he’ll face a weaker Colorado lineup on Saturday, the game is still at Coors Field. Also, the Rox aren’t as bad offensively as you might think.
We’ll follow the same tactic with Hudson. In fairness, Hudson actually allowed just four hits in one of his starts this year. But he also gave up seven hits in his only home start of the season. Hudson hasn’t pitched like someone who’s going to have his way against Seattle’s lineup, even if the Mariners have underperformed thus far. As we said at the start, at Coors Field, it’s usually best to bet on a lot of hits.
