Best MLB Bets Today: Can the Mariners’ Bats Stay Hot?

Don’t look now, but the Seattle Mariners are starting to get hot at the plate. The notoriously dissapointing lineup has gotten hot, leading to the team stacking some wins together. We’ll share out bet for their game tonight, along with two others we love.

Seattle Mariners vs. Cincinnati Reds (12:40 PM, EST)

Mariners ML (-125) at Caesars Sportsbook

We are fading Reds’ starter Brady Singer today. The 28-year-old is 3-0 across three starts but has not looked sharp in his last two outings. He has a 5.40 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in those two starts, which came against the Pirates and Brewers. 

The Seattle lineup has been doing some damage over the last week. Julio Rodriguez still isn’t playing to his potential, but the rest of the lineup is doing just enough to compensate for it. We don’t expect this trend to keep up all season, but they will be able to put up another strong effort with Singer on the mound tonight.

As bad as the Mariners' lineup has been, the Reds are worse. Their .607 team OPS ranks in the bottom five of the league, and they are batting just .190 over the last week. This lineup is better than they have shown, but things won’t turn around against Bryan Woo (2-0, 2.84 ERA, 0.95 WHIP) today.

The Mariners seem to lead the league in young aces, but Woo may be the best of the group. The righty broke out in 2024, finishing with a fantastic 2.89 ERA and 0.90 WHIP. We have seen the same version of Woo in 2025, and that won’t change against a bad Reds offense.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Baltimore Orioles (6:35 PM, EST)

Over ML (-120) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Orioles will have a 35-year-old rookie on the mound in Tomoyuki Sugano (1-1, 3.86 ERA, 1.57 WHIP). The former NPD star has a solid ERA across three starts, but his WHIP is concerning. In his last start, the righty allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks across 4 ⅔ innings. 

Sugano will face a tough test against a Guardians lineup that has been swinging the bat better of late. Steven Kwan and Gabriel Arias have led the way, with four home runs and 12 RBIs over the last seven games. With Jose Ramirez showing some signs of settling in over the last few games, this team will have enough to send Sugano packing early.

Tanner Bibee (1-1, 4.40 ERA, 1.40 WHIP) is having some serious control issues in April. He failed to last more than 4 ⅔ innings in both starts this month, thanks to allowing 11 runs and five walks over 8 ⅔ innings. The Orioles have the bats to capitalize on those struggles, leading to a lot of runs.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. New York Mets (7:10 PM, EST)

Cardinals ML (+122) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Cards lineup has been overperforming to start the 2025 season, thanks largely to a hot start from Brendan Donovan. The second baseman has kicked off the year with a .382 batting average, .416 OBP, and .549 slugging percentage. He has sparked this offense and is helping to make up for the team’s lack of power.

Griffin Canning (1-1, 4.20 ERA, 1.53 WHIP) will be starting today after being scratched yesterday due to an illness. Healthy or not, the righty has not benefited from a change of scenery after coming over from the Angels. While his ERA isn’t terrible, his WHIP signals that won’t last. Expect an ugly outing as he faces a St. Louis lineup batting .286 against him.

The Cardinals will have Andre Pallante (2-0, 2.20 ERA, 1.04 WHIP) on the mound tonight. The 26-year-old broke out last season, and has been even better in 2025. In his last start, he held the Phillies scoreless over seven innings. Expect another great outing from the young righty tonight.
