San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs (4:20 PM, EST)

Run LineSpreadMoneylineTotal
Padres+1.5 (-160)+140Over 6.5 (-125)
Cubs-1.5 (+135)-165Under 6.5 (+105)

PICK: Cubs ML (+143) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Padres will be picking up their first loss of the season today. As impressive as they have looked, they’ll face a red-hot ace on the mound tonight in Shota Imanaga.

Imanaga will stay hot at the third start of the season. He allowed one run on three over 11 innings against two good offenses in the Dodgers and Diamondbacks. The Japanese star looked like he did to start last season when he finished April with a 0.98 ERA over five innings.

The Padres will have Randy Vasquez starting opposite Imanaga. The former Yankee prospect was sharp in his first start, but he is far from a proven commodity. The righty was good at home but horrendous on the road, going 3-4 with a 6.07 ERA.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Mets (3:10 PM, EST)

Run LineSpreadMoneylineTotal
Blue Jays+1.5 (-190)+118Over 7.5 (-115)
Mets-1.5 (+158)-140Under 7.5 (-105)

PICK: Blue Jays ML (+118) at Caesars Sportsbook

The Toronto Blue Jays enter this series having won four straight games. The lineup is hitting for a solid .288 average, while the starting rotation has looked strong. That includes tonight’s starter, Kevin Gausman.

Gausman started the season strong by holding the Orioles to two runs on three hits over six innings. The veteran will be making his first road start of the season after going 8-5 with a 2.51 ERA outside of Toronto in 2024.

The Mets' offense has not been consistent since the start of the season. The team has a lowly .188 batting average, and Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, and Mark Vientos have gotten off to slow starts. That won’t change tonight with Gausman on the mound.

The Mets will have Tylor Megill on the mound tonight. He was incredible in his first start, but that came against a shaky Houston lineup. Expect a red-hot Toronto team to bring the 2–year-old back down to Earth tonight.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies (6:45 PM, EST)

Run LineSpreadMoneylineTotal
Dodgers-1.5 (+118)-140Over 8 (-110)
Phillies+1.5 (-140)+118Under 8 (-110)

PICK: Dodgers -1.5 (+118) at Caesars Sportsbook

The matchup features two of the NL’s top teams, but LA will kick the series off with a lopsided win tonight. That is primarily because we don’t trust Phillies starter Jesus Luzardo. He was sharp in his first start, but that came against the Nats. Now, he’ll face one of the most incredible lineups in history, leading to a long day for the lefty.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be making his third start of the season tonight. He has allowed three runs over ten innings while striking out 14. The Phillies have yet to see the up-and-coming star. As well as hitting the ball, it will take time for them to adjust to the 26-year-old’s stuff.

The Philly lineup has the best batting average in the league, but the Dodgers have driven in many more runs. That has led them to start the season with an 8-0 record, and they’ll keep the undefeated streak going tonight.
