Marlins | +1.5 (-130) | +135 | Under 7.5 (-105) |
We are going to be fading Sandy Alcantara in 2025. The Marlins' starter regressed in 2023 before missing all last season with an injury. Miami has doped to return fresh and regain his form as an ace, but his control remains a significant problem.
In his first start of the season, Alcantara went 4 ⅔ innings and allowed two runs. While two hits and seven strikeouts look impressive, he also walked four batters. This was a problem in 2023; it appears it hasn’t changed after a year on the IL.
The Mets' offense deals with injuries to key players, but they still have plenty of dangerous bats. That includes newly acquired Juan Soto, who remains one of the most dangerous hitters in baseball.
New York will do much damage at the plate, leading to an easy win for starter Kodai Senga.

Yankees | +1.5 (-170) | +100 | Under 8.5 (-120) |
The Yankees demolished the Brewers in their first series, posting a historic 36 runs over three games. It was impressive, but the Crew went home and allowed 11 runs to the Royals yesterday. That has us thinking the Yankees' offense may not be as impressive as they looked, and Corbin Burnes will prove it tonight.
As a member of the Orioles last season, Burnes dominated the Yankees over two starts. He had a 2.45 ERA over 11 innings. New York’s lineup only managed a .162 against the ace, and we don’t see that changing tonight.
The D-backs split their opening series with the Cubs, but their offense did some severe damage. Most notable has been Corbin Carroll, who is attempting to bounce back from an awful 2024 campaign. He looks far more confident and adds a key bat alongside Ketel Marte and Josh Naylor.
New York will have one of its top pitching prospects tonight in Will Warren. While we can’t accurately project his potential, we can see his work over the last year. Warren went 6-5 with a 5.91 ERA in 23 AAA starts and 10.32 ERA across five MLB starts. He didn’t look any better in spring training, so expect a rough season debut for the young pitcher.

Tigers | +1.5 (-165) | +135 | Over 7 (-105) |
Mariners | -1.5 (+140) | -160 | Under 7 (-115) |
We are fading the Mariners HARD this season, and for good reason. MLB experts have hailed the Mariners’ elite pitching staff and young talent at the plate. However, that was the story last season, and we watched dominant pitching wasted by one of the league’s worst offenses.
The Mariners attempted to fix things by adding Randy Arozarena, who was a terrible fit for a team needing a star bat. Seattle’s front office didn’t make changes during the offseason, so there is no reason to believe this season will be different.
The lineup scored six runs in their opening four-game series against the A’s. By comparison, the Tigers scored 12 runs over three games against a far better Dodgers team.
Even with Logan Gilbert pitching, Seattle doesn’t have the bats to keep up with the Tigers.
